my interpretation of that comment was that through experience Kristina knows that the public (in general, not all) blame the woman and that Steph is gonna come out of this looking bad and getting a LOT of abuse over social media

Kristina has put up with a lot of abuse and she wasn't the one in a relationship, so she knows how bad it could be for Steph
