Was held on the 17th January in Manchester but is going on tour and there will be an event 2nd February in Leeds College of Music.

I only heard about it tonight on Radio 4 driving home!

It's an annual event / charity dedicated to informing the public about electronic music and helping to preserve its heritage. Live performances.

Founded in honour of one of the great pioneers of that form who we, as Doctor Who fans, should all know - Delia Derbyshire - who was never acknowledged as such in her lifetime, sadly.

I was so pleased when she was finally acknowledged on the end credits of The Day of the Doctor.
Better late than never!

I had the pleasure of meeting her once in Manchester back in 1991.
She was utterly charming, extremely humble and very giggly due to being immensely shy.
She signed my Doctor Who: The Music LP.

This is all v interesting! Thanks so much! A shame it's Leeds and nowhere else (with all due respect to Leeds). The recent DWM special about "music" painted a very sad picture of Delia in her later years, which tallies with stories I have heard from other sources. As I become less engaged with current DW, so I investigate further back into the old stuff, and Delia emerges as someone about whom I'd love to know more.
