I hope Angie (and David Gest) are ok. It seems both left for health reasons.

However this does illustrate yet again one of the problems with having older HMs. The two oldest in this CBB have gone without being voted out.
I don't think that's necessarily true.

Older HM's have often gone on to win or last the distance.

I think David was ill from the start and I'm trying hard to remember a time when he wasn't wearing a coat (apart from bedtime obviously).

Angie's biggest problem was lack of sleep.

It will be less balanced without her. It's not that the young ones are young, it's that they are all desperate talentless wannabees playing at reality show antics. If they had a sportsperson and someone from the music world or something like that, it would be more balanced. But they are nobodies with no discerning talent or intelligence or even much likeability.

I found David, John and Angie the best of the bag. Angie, especially, is a really intriguing person, and I started to listen to some interviews with her on Youtube. The longer interviews show her to be a really bright, intelligent and erudite person. It's a shame we didn't hear more from her in the house, really.
Being interesting in interviews on youtube doesn't translate very well into being interesting in BB.

(David Gest was by far the biggest turn-off for me this year; and Angie seemed uninteresting and somewhat annoying to listen to.)

Sorry to see her go, she exceeded my expectations and it was nice to see the person behind the press stories. She (with Tiff) gave us one of the most memorable scenes in BB history.

I'm sure one of the housemates said she had been retching, there is obviously something else as well as lack of sleep.

How many oldies have won? Also, do people forget that her ex-husband died just over a week ago. No matter what she may have thought of him she is still entitled to grieve in private and out of the CBB House.
No oldies have won regular BB, where there's more time for problems to occur.

Of course she's entitled to grieve in private, but no one's said otherwise.

Why haven't these older housemates got the sense not to go on the programme. If they have watched it before surely they know what to expect. I can only think they are attracted to the fee! Them pleading illness doesn't really ring true. Angie was so rude in the Diary Room last night there was no excuse for it.

And if Kristina stays tonight the oldest HMs left will be

Darren (47)
John (44) or
Daniella (42)

OK, put it another way..... now Angie has walked those are the 3 oldest HMs

I am glad she has gone for her own sake. But i did like Angie, despite her abrupt rudeness at times. I would love to see her on I'm A Celeb in the near future.

she'd repeatedly asked for the lights to be turned off when she was in the bedroom.

the younger lot were screaming in the main room and she couldn't sleep
Sleep depravation makes people mad, especially if you are mature in years

When Angie went to the DIary Room they said they would turn the lights off for her, so why the delay if they watch the HMs 24/7 they knew she was struggling in there

They could have offered her a seperate room so she could get some sleep too, David Gest had left, so his room was free , the younger ones are going to be able to handle that environment more, the older ones not so much as BB doens't consider the effect that House can have on them.

Angie was tame in the Diary Room compared to Megan and Stephanie , at least Angie was justified in being very angry.

Its generally thought that older people need less sleep than younger ones.

You make a very valid point.

Compared to Meghan and Stephs outbursts, Angie was positively serene in comparison

Around when did she leave? I suspected she was gone when she was nowhere to be found on LF last night. Looks like we might get a proper final with 3 or 4 housemates instead of something insane like 6,

I think its for the best. I wouldn't attribute it all to the younger housemates either. Judging by last nights rant by Angie it seems BB were taking the piss and wouldn't turn the lights off in the bedroom.

That's what is believed, but Maybe Angie is used to going to be earlier and waking up early so it could be a case of changing routine combined with lack of sleep that was the problem

Aww Angie was my favourite from the start, real shame she has left. There's no-one else in there I really care about enough to want them to win

Often in C/BB the 'younger lot' are screaming in the bedroom. She was lucky if they were doing it in the main room instead.

I think that people who need a separate room shouldn't be picked as HMs.
Why did David Gest have one?

Perhaps CBB housemates need some equivalent of the "talk of doom" that ordinary HMs get, so that they know what they're getting into and can make a more informed decision about whether they want to do it.

I don't blame David and Angie leaving, both have left the house giving health reasons they could have stayed and got better, it's still going to take the same amount of time to get better on the outside as on the inside, but who would want to spend any more time trapped in there with that lot 24/7 if you don't have too.
