I'm not sure in this movie but in the Animated Series:

Spoiler
Quote:
“Abilities and equipment

Harley Quinn possessed above-average agility and fighting skills. She was an Olympic-level gymnast and acrobat.

Harley also carried an assortment of clown-themed tools, although they rarely proved effective. One of her signature weapons is an oversized, wooden mallet which she swings around with surprising skill despite its unwieldy appearance. Another weapon in her arsenal is an oversized revolver with a cork in the barrel. The cork usually contains ropes to tie people up or knockout gas.

Unlike the Joker, Harley could also act sane long enough to appear in disguise as a "normal" person. (She even got paroled from Arkham Asylum once.) Harley's impersonations included a security guard and a lawyer. A different security guard disguise was actually enough to get approval to guard the Joker alone during a police transport. Due to Harley's charisma and psychiatric training, she is also adept at psychologically manipulating others.

Early in their partnership, Poison Ivy injected Harley with a toxin antidote, which rendered her immune to certain chemicals and diseases, and had the side effect of enhancing her strength and stamina, allowing her to survive normally fatal accidents.

http://dcau.wikia.com/wiki/Harley_Quinn”

Harley got the toxin antidote from Ivy in the Animated Series episode where they first met in Harley & Ivy, and it's how she survived both being pushed out of the window (by Joker) in the Animated Series episode Mad Love and falling from the cliff fight with Batgirl in the Animated cartoon Return of the Joker.

lol what nonsense.
A new take only goes so far, at some point it starts to be something new entirely.

general consensus from public and reviewers seems to be that they liked letos joker.

i liked the pimp/gangster style joker. something different. the scene in nightclub where harley dancing was quality. he just staring at her. hopefully more of that in batman movie.

Yeah and the general consensus of BvS is that it's utter garbage.
Didn't change your opinion so why should it change mine?

The way I read into it was that
Spoiler
El Diabolo did die, Waller''s phone doesn't automatically register when a "bomb" goes offline, and for some reason his death had no impact whatsoever on the rest of the squad, it was brushed over so quickly that it's another example of piss poor pacing imo.

ive not asked you to change your mind. i am saying most seemed to like the joker in this one. interesting to see what other scenes were clipped. apparently one where he slaps harley

i understand backlash to BvS, i just enjoyed it personally.

you hate 2 films. you living up to your name.

I hate neither of the films.
They don't evoke enough of an emotional reaction to hate them.

Some people are just rude. I try my best to stay as quiet as I can. I had a quick sneezing fit during Star Trek Beyond and felt really guilty

His ringtone was that old annoying Nokia one too. During the 4th, I turned to him and was about you say "you know those things can be put on silent right?", but I saw he was turning it off.

I actually enjoyed the film a lot, It was heavily flawed obviously but the performance's carried and it was the best of the new DCEU films (although MoS and B v S were terrible)

It also sets the scene for future films quite nicely without feeling like too much of an afterthought and I think it was the right decision to keep Joker to a minimum, he cluttered the plot imo but it was a decent enough alternative interpretation of the character. A Solid 7/10 for me and nowhere near as bad as some of the critics have me out

Didn't really like this at all.

- The whole thing looked cheap, it's hard to see where that huge budget went - the settings were boring, the CGI wasn't very good and the action of choppily edited.

- I never really brought Deadshot was a villain, there was way to much moral compass stuff with his character.

- Robbie was great as Harley. But the material the script served her with was weak, most of the jokes fell flat.

- Croc and Cap Boomarang might as well not been in it. Croc had maybe 6 lines of dialog, and Boomarang did absolutely nothing.

- The Joker was awful. Such a tryhard look at me i'm 'mental'. I bet he has a 'You don't have to be mad to work here, but it helps' sign on his door.

- The main threat was crappy, her the henchmen looked like walking blackberries and the final fight was feeble - possible worse than the final fight in the latest Fantastic Four movie.

Cheap looking with a boring threat. Robbie alone makes it from a 3/10 to a 4/10

Thanks for the info. I don't think any of that was really explained in the movie, or I just missed it.

I think because
Spoiler
Poison Ivy has yet to be introduced into this new DCCU, it couldn't be explained that way

A way around this could be down to the chemicals that Harley jumped into gave her some sort of abilities, but they were never really stated.

Spoiler
I agree and it's why I'm hoping for at least two more movies with Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in the future obviously one with Joker and Batman and another with Poison Ivy and Catwoman (and maybe Batgirl as well) in a Gotham City Sirens Storyline.

Margot recently has said she wants to play Harley Quin forever so it's possible
http://geektyrant.com/news/margot-ro...-quinn-forever

Maybe then it will be explained what her abilities are.

Spoiler
I am really hoping the Batman solo outing is the Red Hood storyline. That would be really good.

Then comes the question who would play Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Batgirl. Emma Stone for Poison Ivy?

Spoiler
I agree with Emma Stone for Poison Ivy or maybe Christina Hendricks.

Batgirl and Catwoman I'm not sure about at the moment though.

Christina Hendricks as Poison Ivy would be epic but I doubt Hollywood would cast someone "so old", sadly.

Going to see this tonight.

From what most friends and most critics have said, I will want to be Harley Quinn when I leave but will be seething at the thin plot and wasted opportunity, yet again, for what could have been an excellent film.

Let's see shall we?

Loved the Nolan trilogy, disappointed with MoS and BvS.

I won't feel cheated if its at least a 7/10.

Me too. But I thought SS was a huge letdown.

Apart from the basic premise of a bunch of rogues teaming up to take down a big bad there is really no comparison.

I saw this with my mum and she said she thought it was better than GOTG. *Shakes head* I know. I thought it was in the same vein, but missed pulling it off. I fear she may have been dazzled by the cracking soundtrack.
