That was false. The re-shoots were nothing to do with trying to make it more funny and people just came up with that due to critics description of BvS.

Looking forward to seeing Batman's role in this and I am still hoping Nightwing makes an appearance in this film!!!
Yep, they couldn't do the amount of reshoots required in time to release for the trailer proving the humour was already there. The reshoots were to add more action scenes.

I'm liking Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn more and more with every trailer we've gotten so far and it looks like she's got her mannerisms and humour as well.

Certainly from all I've seen so far Margot is going to steal this film out from under Will and Jared.

That's exactly what I was gonna say!

Pretty impressed by the 2nd and 3rd trailers, fingers crossed the movie is as cool as the trailers.

With every new trailer (and new cover music) the film is repelling me and reminding me this is made by the same makers of most of DC's stinkers. (I'am actually a Marvel fan, but lately, with the exception of X-men, I prefer DC's movie output -- at least their vision & production.) I can see all the 'smarminess' oozing out of the film, like usual, and have doubts it'll eventually be anything other than hype again.

I'm looking forward to watching Suicide Squad in a few weeks so is anyone else looking forward to it or has Batman Vs Superman put people off films in the DCU?

I've seen today that Suicide Squad has been rated 15 by the BBFC which is interesting for a film rated PG-13 in America

So will anyone else be going to watch Suicide Squad?

I have VERY low expectations because - frankly - the DCCU has been utter shite thus far. But I'm cautiously optimistic about this one, it has a high potential to be absolute hot garbage but it also has a slim chance to be DC's "Guardians of the Galaxy"

I didn't think the Dark Knight vs Man of Steel was that bad. It wasn't perfect by any means, and was full of inconsistencies, a limited plot, and a terribly cast Lex Luther. That said, it was entertaining.

DC films excluded, Marvel did exceptionally well with two films that people weren't expecting to be that popular; Guardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool. Both were, in my opinion, utterly brilliant. As stated above, I also suspect that Suicide Squad will come out with a similar status.

Suicide Squad, whilst within the DCEU, isn't a continuation story as such. It's meant to be it's own thing, at least for now. I'm looking forward to it for sure, and I shall be watching it when it comes out. I've realistic expectations, though I think I'm going to be further surprised by it and that it'll join Deadpool as one of the top films this year.

Suicide Squad has officially been rated a 15 and is 123 mins long.

Sidenote: Jason Bourne has been rated 12A and i expected that to be more violent to be honest and also be a 15.

Lots of the DC animated films are 15 these days, some of the ratings are justified- The Flashpoint Paradox was really violent- but presumably the bbfc would have looked silly handing out all 12A's to the DC live action movies when animated ones with similar material are 15.

I hope it's as good as either Guardians Of The Galaxy or Deadpool as they have been some of the best comic book films of recent years

I'm just surprised by the lack of marketing for it in the UK so far as I thought it we would see posters for it by now and trailers for it on TV but nothing at all!

Maybe they are waiting for Star Trek to be released before they start hyping it up!

All the trailers look good all the cast look great. Looking forward to seeing it, Hayley Quinn and The Joker look like they steal the show and shine all the way into the whole movie.

Strolled past a poster for it on the side of a bus stop about an hour ago (a quite effective form of advertising I'm told). Perhaps the bus stop demo is a key part of its strategy I thought. Who knows?

After I posted that about no trailers on TV I then see 2 trailers on TV for Suicide Squad so maybe WB/DC are starting to hype it up

Although I've yet to see a poster outside of a cinema!

I hate it when people say Deadpool is MarveL. Yes, it's a Marvel property but it was released by Fox.

Yes, I know that but people like to list Deadpool amongst Disney/Marvel's greatest hits when it has an entirely different studio, production and creative team behind it.

I can't say I've heard many people connect it with Disney. I think the Marvel connection is a pure comic thing. Does it really matter though? We all know what people are on about.

Was the original thread in a different forum?

Was it in the comics forum?

I had started a thread on suicide squad in the movies forum which has since been combined with this thread after this thread appeared in the movies forum

Where have you seen these because worryingly there is a review embargo on it until tomorrow. Hence, there is nothing on Rotten Tomatoes for it yet.

I want the film to be good but delaying the release of reviews until the last minute is a concerning sign.
