Loads of positive reviews on the SS Facebook page, obviously not the most unbiased of pages but I guess if people thought the film was crap they'd say so.

I'm a DC fanboy but even I found Suicide Squad very average
It started off well but fell apart in the second half to become a bit of a mess especially as the baddie in the film is just pathetic
I had no problem with Deadshot despite my previous concerns but Harley Quinn didn't really stand out as much as thought she would do especially as most her best scenes are shown in the trailers!
Amanda Waller was great and someone that I'm looking forward to reappearing in the DCU
A lot of the other villains didn't get much screen time as I hoped apart from the usual backstory. I felt that Killer Croc was easily the most underused especially as he is a major Batman villain!
Joker was in it for the minimum amount of about 30 minutes at most but not sure on Jared Leto in the role as he is playing it like some gangster!
I don't think it's as good as film as Batman Vs Superman but i loved that film!
My screening was packed out like I've not seen in a long time for a midday screening but I was concerned by a father with two children behind me as its meant to be a 15 although I can't see why it got that rating!
So my verdict is its worth a watch but it's nothing special

If I had to guess I'd say it may be a common thing that the studio interferes too much with the production process, and even if the director does manage to get something to pass they feel undermined aren't in a positive frame of mind to deliver their best work.
I saw an article yesterday which suggests that this may have been the case with WBs and David Ayers. It appears to be a running theme and these sorts of problems have been attributed to other films such as The Fantastic Four.
Marvel seem to have more trust in the creatives they hire and pretty much let them get on with it, with only main guidelines and MCU plot points they need to hit.
Ive seen it. Its alright, but a little bland.
There was a certian cameo that i didnt expect, but made a certain team-members inclusion more palatable to me.
I only really cared about how they handled harley. It was good to see that most the checklist in my head was kicked off in that respect....

No I think it was that I made a mistake as I didn't understand how their ratings are calculated. I assumed that the people reviewing also gave it a score.
I was indeed referring to the the reviewers, but I made the mistake of thinking that had something to do with the IMDB rating.

it's way better. For one, it's actually fun and the characterisations are spot on.
Just seen it.
It had issues but It was a lot more enjoyable than BvS and MoS.
Margot and Will were actually really good.
Not a fan of Letos portrayal. Like at all!

Saw it last night and loved it. Ignore the so called film critics on here with their A level English style oh so clever reviews. Don't look too deep, put on the 3d glasses and just ENJOY it. It's ain't difficult.
I saw it last night and really enjoyed it, it's no The Dark Knight but not many films are. Great cast, like most people have said Will Smith and Margot Robbie steal the show. Yes the Joker isn't in it for long but he keeps popping up throughout the film so you don't really realise the fact.
I much preferred it to BvS and I'm a huge Batman fan.
It did drag in a couple of places and if I had to state one negative it's that I'm fed up with CGI bad guys, I much prefer the Nolan trilogy of human bad guys like Scarecrow, Joker and Bane. Apart from that it was a very enjoyable 2 hours and a great soundtrack.

Right, saw the movie yesterday, here are my thoughts:-
Overall I was happy with the film - it is fun and not boring which is a huge bonus in my book.
I didn't read any reviews beforehand but knew it did get pulled apart by the critics.
POSITIVES:-
Harley Quinn and Joker are awesome in this movie, just what I wanted. They had chemistry and intensity in their scenes which was great to see. I believed their emotional and toxic connection they showed on screen - I really hope we see both again in the future DC films. Harley was great, she came across as a three dimensional character and Margot did a great job. Jared's Joker was both creepy and intense, I think his new look is great, I love it.
The others in the squad were great - particularly Deadshot (not a Will Smith fan), Katana, Rick Flag and to my surprise - Capt. Boomerang, I found him funny.
It was nice to see depths to come characters, Deadshot, El Diablo etc, it helped humanise the characters and when that came across on screen, the grouped gelled more in the scenes I felt and it came across as genuine.
Amanda Waller - Kickass, love her.
Easter eggs, cameos - great bridge to the other films.
Soundtrack and visuals - very good use of music, gets the audience pumping and the comic-esque visuals which kept cropping up, made it feel like a live comic book.
NEGATIVES:-
Threat - I didn't buy into the threat at all, Enchantress - visually was great and I think Cara did a pretty decent job as an otherworldly sorceress. She wanted to take over the world - it's been done a million times before but it was fairly standard - the ending almost felt like Ghostbusters 2. June Moon needed more of a build up too - some more scenes with her with Rick Flagg would have been good instead of quick flash backs.
Killer Croc - Underused, looked great but I HATED his voice!
Enchantress' footsoldiers - too many of them, it became a bit repetitive when they kept getting smashed to pieces, visually they could have been a bit different from each other.
Messy editing - For the most part this type of editing worked as it's a fast paced film, but some scenes just felt like they were plonked there without any thought.

So all in all, I enjoyed the movie. It's great as a popcorn flick. If people can sit through countless Transformers movies, they can definitely watch this. I would watch this again on DVD.

Does Suicide Squad deserve the heat it’s getting? No. In all honesty there was more to like about it than dislike for a good portion of it. Viola Davis’s portrayal of Amanda Waller is just as thrilling and brutal as it should be. The character of El Diablo really steals the show with his backstory and ability, for a unknown he is one of the biggest pros in the movie. They do a great job at humanizing this group of criminals to make them more than just a group of felons, you legitimately feel for their characters and their tragic backstories, making them more complex than you typical superhero team up. The story is flawed but outside of some creative decisions Suicide Squad is a step in the right direction for DC. Unfortunately they needed a bigger impact to create any buzz going forward for Warner Bros. WB tries to be taken seriously to appeal to DC fans while jamming in one liners and humor to appeal to the MCU viewers. In the end you just get a jumbled narrative that doesn’t succeed in making anyone truly happy. Suicide Squad is a good film and a step in the right direction after Batman vs Superman, the problem continues to be that this had the potential to be a great film but studio interference seems to be anchoring the final product.

After reading the comments on this thread who watched the film I'm now more inclined to believe that I may enjoy this film, despite the flaws which are mentioned.
I am interested in the stat that young women favoured it, in light of what I read some professional reviewers writing about the film being pornographic and puerile. Which made me very skeptical about who was writing the reviews and for whom, and from which websites those reviews were coming from.

I have to say, I'm not massively encouraged by this bit.
The Transformers movies were like actual torture.
