I bought an iPod touch recently but it takes longer than I thought to charge up but it also lasts a long time too when it's fully charged, Is it normal for it to take 4-6 hours from dead battery to fully charged battery on an iPod touch 5th generation?

Is it a genuine iPod charger or a 99p Chinese copy which will consume your house in flames if you leave it plugged in overnight?

My lightning usb cable is an official one but my usb power adapted is a cheap one I bought online a few months ago because the original broke and I think that was about 99p I didn't know that cheap iPhone charges could cause fires I've just looked it up after I read your post above and I charge mine every night mostly

I'd seriously consider spending the money and get an official apple charger. They are far safer than the cheap chargers (which often when bought online on eBay etc. don't meet safety standards).

Also, it will likely charge your iPod much quicker.

If you google mobile charger fire it will certainly put you off buying cheap! I bought one once a few years ago for another device and that blew! Big Bang, but luckily no flames and only damaged the charger and not the cable or device.
