Astronomers think they have discovered a new planet lurking at the edge of the solar system! Planet nine, or in reality the tenth planet!! Mondas is here

I always think of The Tenth Planet whenever the furthest reaches of our Solar System are mentioned. If that new planet starts moving towards us, then I'm going to be worried!

No it would be planet 11 if you count Pluto as a planet. Eris would be planet 10, this thread is 11 years too late.

It would be a mistake to think all scientists were in agreement about demoting Pluto anyway. It's just easier for the media to treat 'science' as if it thought with one mind.

Its existence and orbit are very far from being confirmed, but just imagine a scenario where this planet was landed on by a small group of humans..trapped on an iceball that is getting colder and colder as it travels further on its elliptical orbit around the sun...
They have to use implants and whatever technology they have in order to survive...
That there is an updated origin story for Mondas Cybermen, certainly.

As a mildly obsessive Larry Niven fan, please, please, please, if its proved to exist, call it Persephone.
