Lady Gaga working with Mark Ronson

I'm really looking forward to this. I've long thought they would be a perfect match, also its interesting how Elton John seems to suggest Gaga now agrees ARTPOP was a failed concept. I do get what she tried to do with that album but the content was really weak compared to the ideas she clearly had.

That's if their songs make the final cut. His work with Lana Del Rey never made the album.

Gaga's issues with her previous albums are blowing her own trumpet. Hailing Artpop as the album to change pop music forever is arrogant.

Was going to post exactly the same. I can't pretend to follow his career so may be an ignorant question but has he produced an album of any real note since Back To Black?

Good!

If anyone can put a boot up Gaga 's career it is Mark.

I love Version and Uptown Funk.

Can he give Madonna a kick start next?

He's produced stuff for Duran Duran but it wasn't a huge hit. It does seem now he's more focused on his own career than producing for others.

But he's a much better choice than Diane Warren who I read Gaga was writing songs with and who wrote Till it Happens to You. I hate her power ballad style.

She could work with Diane Warren again but Diane Warren doesn't produce albums. She just does songs and normally just a few per artist.

Diane Warren peaked with Unbreak My Heart. Not sure why she is still trying 20 years on

Because she is still highly acclaimed and in demand. Plus a handful of golden globe and oscar nominations have come her way since Unbreak my heart.

It wasn't offered to anyone prior to Gaga. Diane writes and produces the demo of her songs before she even offers them to anyone. I think Gaga was very much in mind from the start.

Some artists completely change songs from their demo form. I remember Leona Lewis fans hating on Christina when Sia gave Christina You Lost Me, they claimed Christina didn't deserve her writing credit because Leona had the song first yet then Sia leaked the demo herself, the Leona version was totally different to the version Christina recorded.
