Gemma admitted she nominated John as she heard the crowd.

I would make a guess and say most Big Brother fans would love this to come back. I miss the days of Davina announcing who was going in the studio, the screen would open up and she'd walk out into the crowd to go and get the housemate.

Haha yeah hopefully, she's a bit of a twit all right!

It just seems to me that BB is quite fond of messing with people's heads, and manipulating situations inside the house, and this seems like quite a big/effective way to do that.

Oh the good old days. Plus I loved the red button with the 4 way room viewing so you did not miss anything.

I'd forgot about that, yes that was brill. It seemed to all change when they had complaints and now they seem scared to show any more than a teeny hour late at night.

You're right about outside influences, but I think she just used that to suck up to the crowd/audience.

I think she would have nommed him anyway.

Is it me or do the crowd seem much louder this year? I've found it quite hard to hear Emma at times. Maybe I'm just getting old.

No. Maxwell, the year before, heard the crowd cheering him and what happened after that, still makes me chuckle. Same thing happened to Wolfie.
