Mobile Infrastructure Project (MIP) in North Wales
I made a freedom of information request to DCMS requesting a map showing the planned locations for MIP masts in North Wales. I got a reply stating that no MIP masts are being built in North Wales.

Sadly I wouldn't get your hopes up. Only a minor percentage of the areas identified in needing coverage holes filled have had even a possible site identified that could be used. Shambles sums it up for me.

£150million in taxpayers money was used to fund this right? What a joke.
Not too long ago the DCMS published this map showing sites planned for Wales: http://www.cambrian-news.co.uk/image...0Locations.jpg |

They set aside £150m, but by last July had only spent £7m the FT said.

Last I heard MIP was set to deliver 50 to 55 sites in the whole UK, before the end date of the funding.
Better than nothing but still poor given that a figure of approximately 250 sites were planned. |
