Oh my goodness. Please, someone save my soul. This is so tedious. These showmances drag the show down so much. Celebrity Big Brother used to be the one escape from this kind of storyline. But it wastes all the potential personalities and discussions that might come out of a group interaction.

Heaven help me!

Yep.

Worst episode in a while, dire, boring, it felt much longer than an hour. I'm still hoping for a triple tomorrow with Megan Jeremy and Stephanie going.

This showmance stuff has always been c*** to watch please stop ramming it down my TV.

Agreed. It's utter manufactured tripe.

It's what the youth want to see. Frankly, if your over 25 then this show isn't for you. I don't know why showbiz legends like Darren Day lower themselves to appear on a horribly manufactured TOWIE Shore style programme. BIg Brother RIP.

It's actually what the juvenile idiots that produce the program want to see you mean.

Surely BB is for everyone? Why should it just be for the young? And no young person I know would choose to watch the likes of Gemma and Stephanie.

Agreed I am over 25 and accept the show for what it is. The likes of Megan are bigger names to the modern audience than the page 3 types that they used to get and female reality types will get female votes as well.

If there are no reality people the younger viewers don't watch

Agreed, and although I find John irritating I don't know what he's doing there. A few years back John and Darren maybe but not now.

I agree, these people have no talent, but get paid an obscene amount of money to air their foul mouths, their trashy sexual antics on television and are really an embarrassment to themselves and their oh so proud parents.

Is this a perception or a fact?

There is a reason why BB has been shit for a good few years now. The production team are all ex TOWIE

Dont young people go out not to enjoy themselves, I dont remember ever staying in to watch telly when I had the dancing, ice skating and having fun with my pals.... this slut telly is over the top tripe.. and BB have pandered to it... The show is now in ruins with filth, swearing and fights..

Is this really what younger people want? My sister is 22 and her and her friends would rather stick rusty pins in their eyes than watch TOWIE/GS etc In my office, no one under about 40 even watches CBB. The under 30s definitely wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

It seems the producers just want to make cheap, lazy tv and dont give a rats arse about what viewers want to see

And forgetting the viewers that have been with BB since the start
Im 46 now and 30 when the show started , at no point have I wanted to see the tripe we're getting now. I'm staying with it , it's a tradition lol but it's not engaging me, I sit every episode ...sighing
I want to see interesting conversations, fun, laughs, banter not some trout pout whining

Oh and neither my 18 year old daughter or 21 year old son watch any of the Towie type shows or BB CBB

If we're talking 18-25's I guess a lot of them pre-drink while the prime time tv is on, then go out. Drink prices out there being what they are.

edit: this is regarding the eviction nights, not the weekday shows except in the case of casual alcoholics.

Well said, I've thought the same for a while now. Whenever we see any member of the crew they all look so young. Media students straight out of uni, young kids who have no experience of real life. I think its why sly Gemma Collins gets away with her appalling behaviour so much, she must intimidate them as much as she does poor Christopher.

Agreed. This is the most boring celeb bb ever. Which is surprising as they had a good bunch of people this time. Some proper celebs with interesting lives. Unfortunately the young ones have dominated with all of this showmance rubbish. I have no interest whatsoever in stepf, her boyfriend or Jeremy. I don't care who she ends up with. I'm not interested on watching Megan's bare arse rolling around on the bed. This is all that'd being pushed at us snd, for me, its beyond tedious. Every live feed is taken up with this crap. The others would have been as well to have stayed at home.

At a family birthday dinner last week, it turned out that only my sister and I (in our 50s) had been following CBB.

The 'kids' that were there (age range 13 - 29) had seen vines and video clips on various social media but none of them had sat and watched an entire episode.

I've missed the last couple of highights shows, but enjoyed the midnight live feeds on 5* enormously, especially last night with Darren and Christopher quietly chatting.

Whoever they appeal to, second rate reality personalities are not talented or hard working in the way other celebrities are and they have nothing to do with what used to be called the jet set, the beautiful people, movies, rock and roll or entertainment. They haven't lived the rollercoaster lives of the celebs who used to be in CBB, some of whom were multi-millionaires, some bankrupt, but all had reached the heights of something requiring brilliance and effort even if it was only a one hit wonder for a week.

They haven't been married to global legends like Liza Minnelli or David Bowie, they haven't mixed in that world we can't reach, traveled to exotic unusual places or achieved anything in their own right on their own merit. They may think they are fascinating but they are not to most people, their shows are entirely the creation of other creative and talented people and they are just guinea pigs from the public who have the extreme luck of being filmed for a while. Christopher IS talented but he is only a contestant from a talent show, he hasn't toured the States and hung out with gods of rock.

The pits for me of this series were comments by 2 HMs I actually quite like - Scotty saying he was talented because 'he done university' and Jeremey telling Steph they are both 'smart and intelligent'. To me they are anything but. They are extremely ordinary and patently unriveting people you'd see in any Asda on a wet weekday. They haven't got mansions in the South of France or played Madison Square Garden. The other comment was GC saying her D&G shoes were 'expensive'. A real diva does not buy her shoes from a shelf but has her designer make them for her and personality fly them to her home and fit them. GC looks like any woman in an anorak in Greggs at lunchtime, because that's who she actually is.

God, my own life is much starrier and more glamorous than theirs will ever be. They may be known but they are not 'celebrities' because there is no talent or depth there for the rest of us to 'celebrate'. It's really just the same as the usual wannabe BB especially since David and Angie walked. It's just mostly ordinary members of the public.

After Gemma's revelations on last night's Live Feed I doubt while the current Exec Producer is still in charge, nothing will change
