A lot of people hate fights and arguments, its nothing to do with being a wimp.. its in their makeup and it can make people ill with fighting going on around them.. I feel David was the same and it was making him quite ill ..were all made different... but oh how Id love for him to stand up to her in there... I think the rest would applaud..

He may well be wimpish but that makes her behaviour even more abhorrent imo. She knows he's weak so can be bullied
I'm sorry but I find it hard to have sympathy for anyone who allows the entirely transparent, playing it for laughs, borderline cartoon-like Gemma to meddle with them.

As for him being weak, he's on CBB for starters - not known for its nourishment of delicate, shrinking violets - and for seconds, a good 50% of them come from hugely cynical RTV shows where Gemma-like behaviour is the norm.

Their response to Gemma is just making me wonder exactly how stupid and desperate for approval some of them are.

I can only hope that BB are setting her up for a massive fall from grace. She's getting away with murder at the moment but I can see the tables turning - maybe they'll play some of her more devious scenes into the house. I take heart - remember Nanna Bet? It could happen.

Please God we have another 'Nana Bet' moment.

You don't think she could be her long, lost grandma?

Chris is a grown man ffs.....I'm no fan of gemma but give her a break

I'd really rather not give bullies a break. Why on earth would we?

Know what...if Chris can't handle something this minor he has no business being in there.

Have to say Gemma ticked me off with the spinning class, but I thought her meltdown about the hair was fabulous as far as meltdowns go.

I'm still really enjoying her...I quite enjoyed seeing she and John actually starting to get along. It'll be interesting to see how that goes.

Gemma for the win!!

This makes me really sad. She relies on folk like yourself to excuse all her horrendous behaviour because you find her whining meltdown 'fabulous.'

What on earth is 'fabulous' about pretend moaning about something so trivial, which was clearly for camera time?

I feel the same, she uses the same tactics as a schoolyard bully. If it walks like a bully, talks like a bully and acts like a bully, then it's a bully.
I agree wholeheartedly. I never go along with random accusations of bullying by housemates, but on this occasion it is full on bullying imo.

He is such a wimp. Honestly, how hard would it have been for him to say 'No Gemma, say what you need to say to me out here' and take the power away from her.

For him, probably VERY hard. Hence why he didn't do just that.

I'm not sure you've got the hang of this bullying thing.

Gemma sees Christopher as weak so she has decided to bully to try to control him. She is a typical playground bully.

I refer you to my post #53 above. If you have a different opinion of Chris, fine, mine is based on what I've seen of him on CBB and he comes across to me as someone desperate to stay on the fame ladder and prepared to put up with whatever it takes to do that.

He's known for his nerves, do you not see him shaking like a leaf if he thinks he's upset her ? I didn't really watch X-Factor when he was on, but I did catch his audition and he was terrified the whole way through that and shaking like a leaf. He was shaking when he thought he and Tiff were really doing a wildlife show. Yes he might be a bit of a wuss, but that doesn't give anyone carte blanche to bully him because of it. She did the same to Darren with her passive aggressive "I'm so disappointed in you" speech, where she stared him down with those big blue ice cold snake eyes.

Gemma knows exactly who to pick on and who she can dominate and bully . She knows that Chris is weak and so targeted him . It makes Gemma they lowest of the low . If all Chris's crime is to be weak then he is still a far far better man than a bully who picks on the weak

I remember when one of my kids was the target of a school bully and getting upset . My words to him were as your Mum I would far prefer to hear that you were bullied than to hear you were a bully . I can help you grow strong and face a bully but I would struggle if you were a bully
