Delivery report - if number blocked
Hi everyone,
I sometimes use delivery reports for text messages (not MMS) and would I still get a delivery report if my number was blocked by the other person or not? I know that if the recipient's phone is switched off or hasn't got a signal, then I won't get one. Thanks in advance. |

Why would they block you? Sounds a bit odd to me

I think you might get the delivery report if it was blocked in software on the phone, as the network would still deliver it, but the phone would essentially ignore it and not notify or put it in the inbox.
I think it's only if the phone is off would you not get it. |

If the sms is delivered, it will be reflected as such.
If they have barred all incoming sms via the network, it would send but would fail on the delivery report. Usually immediately but the smsc might retry until it expires then fail. |

If it's been blocked on the handset, then yes there would be a charge.
