Yesterday I signed up online for pay monthly sim contact with EE. I've not as of yet received the sim card in the post. Having had second thoughts will I still be able to cancel it. O2 is still on my phone and I haven't given EE the pac code either.

Seeing as I had a spare minute, I opened Google and typed "EE change of mind policy" in.

Google is very clever, this was the top result:

Our returns policy

If you’ve bought a mobile product or service from us online or over the phone you’ll have a 14-day cooling off period. So, if you have a change of heart, you can cancel your purchase. More information about how this works will be included in your 'details about delivery' package.

The consumer contract regulations 2013 allow you to cancel a contract taken out online within 14 days. This is reflected in EE's return policy. These regulations replaced the Distance Selling Regulations.

If you had used your PAC code things might have gotten more complicated as your O2 account would have terminated once it was used

No problem. Don't let the harshness of one response put you off asking anything here again. There are no stupid questions!

Just out of curiousity how long does a Sim card take to come in the post, as i mentioned i filled out the form online on Wednesday and still no sign of it. I did call 02 and got a pac code so good job i didnt pass it on to EE. The thing that stopped me going through with the contract was an article i read today about Mobile phone Debt Collectors. I myself have never had a debt in my life and have always paid Direct debits on time for everything. The only reason i looked at EE monthly contract was that it was £17.99 and with 02 at the moment i pay £20 a month pay as u go and there coverage of 4G is shocking where i am. But anyhowe looks like i will have to stick with them for the time being.

Have you had an email from EE saying your order is on the way? EE often have to manually process orders which takes a few days but they will email you once it is processed and dispatched. After that it's usually 1-2 days to arrive in the post
