I can't even tolerate salt added in cooking, dads salt restriction was quite severe. I have relatives who add salt when cooking veg and I only eat it out of politeness if I couldn't see I'd have no idea what veg is served up it all just tastes of salt. My salt tolerance is now so low I find salt kills the flavour of everything instead of increasing it.
One of the reasons I left catering college the chefs kept telling me my food was bland and insisting I tried their version which to me was like eating pure salt, causing me to gag.
