I thought that, everytime the crowd boos or cheers you can see they are reacting to it but trying not to.

It always seems coincidence although i don't think they can hear what she is saying but can hear when the crowd is specifically booing or cheering. Maybe.

Definate, Jeremy just asked John why did they boo you. So Gemma is hearing everything!!?

I don't think they can hear Emma talking, but they can hear the booing/cheering. Since the names are read out in alphabetical order, it's easy enough to work out which reaction is for which housemate.

Helen said on Twitter you can hear Emma in the house.

Emma every week: "I'm going to be talking live to the House".

Of course they can hear her, that's the point.
