To answer your question, Darren and Jeremy are fairly inoffensive housemates. The likes of Gemma, Steph, John and Tiff being up is more likely as they are controversial housemates and polarise opinion. In this case, Gemma is extreamly vulnerable.

Put it this way, if the producers were confident about Gemma's popularity, they wouldn't have fixed that twist tonight. It's clear they want her in the final and have executed this to get her there.
