Sounds like the tour is continuing the running gag of "omg Gleb so hot" that got so boring during the series. I hope they retire that should he return to Strictly.

No doubt he does have a lot of fans and probably sold a lot of calendars, but the other male pros have lots of fans too. I follow the strictly twitter hashtags and it seems to be a pretty even mix of Gleb, Aljaz, and Kevin fans tweeting about the tour. Still, a lot of people like Anita and those dramatic dances too.

I couldn't care less about Gleb's chest. It his face that makes him so beautiful imo.
Anyway, I like Anita. She fell in love with dancing, and seeing her face light up when talking about dancing was a joy to see.

To be honest it sounds more like sour grapes from Jay fans. And I say that as someone who supported Jay all along.

I have a friend who is a big Anita fan, she felt that Anita was being overlooked ... at least .. that's the impression she got at the first Birmingham show ... perhaps they've toned down the Gleb love since (though I don't think they have going on reports here) but it shouldn't all be about him. It didn't stop her voting for them of course but I can see her point .. I'd be annoyed as hell if Aliona was getting all the glory and not Jay. The main focus SHOULD be on the celeb.

I went last week and even though I was a major Jay fan and was last week I did prefer Anita & Gleb and for me they were robbed of a place in the final.

Now there I think you've gotten your facts a bit mixed up unfortunately for you it's not 'just' Jay fans don't make us out to be horrid humans we appreciate Anita a lot I actually supported her throughout strictly unlike some people, actually my mother was a good supporter of hers.. So in this case not just jay 'fans' maybe I am projecting my opinion on this thread so you may have classed me as the majority of the Jay 'fans' to be sour grapes and so be it I can take it, but not all the Jay 'fans' are sour grapes I can assure you that. If truth be told I couldn't really care less who wins (I'm not even going to the tour ) ... I'm only disagreeing with posters who are implying that the sole reason for Anita/Gleb winning is that the audience are being whipped into a frenzy of 'Gleb-mania' like they've done a head count of who voted who and for what reason.

Personally I think they come as a partnership. If I was in the audience I wouldn't mind in the least the what is more than likely 'SCRIPTED' Gleb love but it wouldn't have me voting for him because of it. I'd be voting for them because they have the most entertaining routines which are clearly pleasing the audience.

Not that I've been to many of the tours in the last few years but isn't there always a male pro or celeb who gets 'lusted' over but who doesn't necessarily go on to win shows? ... For instance Thom Evans, Ben Cohen etc.... How many shows did they win?

I think more like some other fans. If and when their celebrity should win, then it's because of her dancing and only when it comes to Anita, it's because of Gleb.
Audience always make noises just to play along. Just like fans whistling when a sports star changes shirts, doesn't mean a thing.

I think people are very much voting for Gleb because he's hot. It's unfair what about the other good looking pros like Aljaz and Giovanni and even Kevin. Don't they get a look in? But it should be the celebs and the dancing you vote for

Well, I get that Gleb is popular, but I don't think that's why people are voting for her. She was my favourite, although I couldn't stand Gleb. Looking over here, most people liked her because her personality, or the fact that she's never danced before. In fact, Gleb seems to get a lot of flack here.

Also, Aljaž is very popular too, and (in my opinion) more handsome than Gleb. I agree with you that it would be nice to see Helen won a show, though. She left far too early!

People who are paying to vote can do so for any reason they choose, but I don't believe that reason is Gleb's so-called hotness.

Yes, he is getting a lot of attention from Mel, with Anita seemingly left out, but that is all part of the script. What Anita and Gleb have are two spectacular routines which work really well in the arenas, and people are voting for them because they are entertained by that. They aren't my favourites, but I can understand why people enjoyed their dances, which had some of the best audience reactions when I went.

Jay and Aliona are my favourites, and also had an amazing audience response, to the jive in particular. I voted for them on the show and at the tour, but if they had been up against Anita and Gleb in the final, I think it would have been a close run thing, because Anita herself is very popular.

To add my two cents... I went this afternoon and loved the show. I don't like Anita and I'm not keen on Gleb either, but they certainly whipped the crowd into a frenzy... I think it was about both of them to be honest. A lot of women where I was sitting were getting a bit excited over Gleb but I think Anita's ability to deliver the dramatic performances is also getting them a lot of votes. Personally I don't like that at all and would rather anyone else won, but to witness it first hand I think the partnership is a popular one and they're both getting people's votes.

Jake got a really reaction from the crowd as well actually, again whilst totally different his routines are big crowd pleasers that work brilliantly in a big arena.

Ugh it's getting boring that Jay and Anita are winning all the time. It's about time someone else wins. Georgia might win tomorrow because she is a local girl. Helen has to win something. She's very unappreciated. She deserves more

Do we know if Anita and Gleb came second?
I am a Jay fan, but I would like for GG and Helen to at least make second at some point. They are both very good dancers.

Personally, I think Craig (or Anita and Gleb) is smart and has chosen for Anita and Gleb their two more crowd pleasing dances to create a proper competition. Perfect showdances for arenas. From the videos of the tour I have seen, she probably has improved a bit, but imho she is way behind Helen, Jay and Georgia as a dancer. Not to say she is a bad dancer, but certainly not an amazing dancer. As a performer though, she is probably one of the best (as is Jake).
As someone has said, she is the only one to have two showstopping dances and also benefits from a good running order. (Voting starts after all first dances have been performed so Paso is fresh on their minds, whether Gerogias excellent Charleston was first, probably semi forgotten.)

Regarding the main to program, if Anita had been in the final, would she have won? As Alli-F said in one occasion when has a popular average dancer won against a popular excellent dancer? I wasn't sure at the time, but I am more so now.

100% agree with you about Helen. I was fully expecting Georgia to win at least one of the Manchester shows but to be honest now I'm not sure, the audience reaction to her dances this afternoon wasn't anything to write home about. Don't get me wrong, the audience were very enthusiastic and cheered everyone, but Georgia probably got one of the least noisy reactions of them all. I'd say Ainsley was as popular as her, maybe more so, and Jake seemed to get a very good response.

Totally agree regarding Georgia and Helen. I want Jay to win the majority, buti think both Georgia and Helen really deserve some wins. To be honest, it's really disappointing that Georgia hasn't won today at all in Manchester.

No idea about tonight, but they were second this afternoon, yes. I was expecting a 'surprise' result today but right now Jay and Anita seem unstoppable!

Do you think it's because they (GG) open the show? So it's a bit in warm up mood? Or because their performance levels (not technique which we know is good) is a bit flat?

I don't know to be honest. Being on first probably doesn't help, but I kind of felt like there was something slightly missing, although I can't put my finger on what! I expected Georgia to be better than Frankie but I actually preferred the latter, especially her QS which I thought was fantastic.
