How did Jonathan's secret task with the boxes work?
chavet

Did they randomly stand at podiums and the boxes specific to each person were shot up them? I guess what I'm getting at is... was it like the Forgotten Feater task?

The one who's famous in Harrods: Jonathan Cheban, Kim Kardashian's best friend.

Lawl. I get the impression I'm coming across as senile...

There was a task in which Jonathan had to decide which housemates would be rewarded or punished with a variety of things. In the discussion about whether tonight's task was fixed, someone was pointing out how much effort or expensive they'd have to go to, but I'm trying to remember... didn't they effectively do the same thing a couple of weeks ago? Random assignment to a podium, but guaranteed to receive a certain item from their podium?

Didn't they have their names on the podiums during the previous task where Jonathan picked what they would receive?

I'm not sure. I can't remember seeing names but it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I'm still trying to work out where the boxes come from -- are they meant to be in the podiums or coming up through the floor?

Big Brother has set Jonathan a secret challenge in the house today as part of a new task.
Big Brother called him to the Diary Room earlier where he found a number of gifts for the remaining fifteen celebs in the house, including himself.
They weren't all nice though and it was up to Jonathan to decide which housemate would get which gift.

I see where your coming from Chavet and why your relating it to this task... But I think that task actually took place in the house didn't it? Not the task room. So no, I don't think there were any hatches under the floor. I think in that task it was just spring loaded boxes.

Thanks, erin. So, from the picture it doesn't look like there weren't names on the podiums. As KT_Dog suggests, spring-loaded boxes would make sense since they were in the house, but it does still leave me wondering about the mechanics of how the right person got the right box, and if that's relevant to tonight.

I think they were simply told where to stand. They all seemed to accept that the present that came out was specifically intended for them.

Yeah, I expect you're right. The similarity's still not sitting well with me, under the circumstances, though.

No, podiums were not randomly chosen, they were assigned.

Just watched a short clip of the previous box challenge and the stands did not have their names on them so I'm assuming on that occasion BB told them where to stand. Not sure if they questioned that at the time.
