Jon, I have just been considering my options for home broadband and been told my usage.

We average 650GB per month!

Which is mostly Netflix 4k so far as I can tell. We were around 150GB per month 18 months ago (before we used Netflix).

Therefore I'm pretty much stuck with BT as everyone else seems to throttle or have obscure policies.

the diffrence is with the 32gb sim vs home 4g tariff is the data addons you can buy are better value and cheaper on home 4g tariff on home 4g on my account if i use the 50gb allowance i can buy a extra 20gb of data or buy a 5gb data addon of for £1 this is what i do when i use all my data i just keep buying 5gb of data for £1 on the normal mobile broadband and sim only plans its much more expensive

I've currently not got broadband at the moment so I'm relying on EE to provide 4G to cover me on my laptop and SIM. I've bought a 6GB data SIM for £15 on Amazon, but I think I might need more internet after that point. Any suggestions for value for money most welcome. (Or any other network which has access to 4GEE!)

Well if you read back a bit you will see probably one of the best data deals ever. Unfortunately it ended yesterday, but some people have had success phoning them.

EE do discounts on large data bundles quite a lot. I think with a network that has quite a lot of capacity now, they're quite keen to get you spending more money - in return for data that's probably fairly cheap for them to provide.

Even if this offer has ended, something else will be along soon.

I wonder if this is the future of EE under BT, where you now have quite expensive plans to enable the BT-style offers that are almost never ending. The key is of course to make sure you're signing up for a discounted plan, rather than a time-limited discount (e.g. first three months half price). But that should be quite clear.

I don't know why they don't do even bigger bundles to truely complete with landline. I guess as you say it's down to capacity.
