There has been a lot of talk about this incident centred around someone being "humiliated".
Firstly, John, Darren and Chris had no idea whose knickers they were when they discovered them. That came later.
I think it needs underlining that Stephanie is an entitled user. She's been throwing here stuff about for weeks for other people to pick up. Other people complain and they are "bullying her". She borrowed Megan's clothes, ruined them and just left them in a pile on the floor for hours and complained when someone challenged her. She's behaved in a disgusting way to her boyfriend and Jeremy and is blaming other people for it. She blames the others for noticing it and she blames the show for "bullying her" for noticing it. Megan is having a crisis BBC can't get in to the diary room because Steph in monopolising the room to bleet about how everyone it treating her badly.
Then this. She left a whole pile of clothes around the house for days. Which is usual for her, others have asked her not to and she's ignored them. She's depended on other people picking things up for her and washing them for her. She does nothing. Then she leaves a pair of knickers soiled with faecal and vaginal matter in a public space used by everyone for personal and public hygiene. She leaves them there for days. This is literally how infections happen that make people sick. Then other people pick up after her again and discover something they should never have been exposed to it's again other people's fault. And other people are "bullying" her again because NOBODY is every allowed to take her to task for her ongoing litany of disgusting behaviour. Because she wasn't humiliated, she was the one joking about her being "moist" in them.
Let's be clear here. Stephanie's gender is nothing to do with it, neither is the gender of the people who found the stuff. If a guy had left his pants stained with poo and semen in a public wash area it would have been just as unacceptable as it would have been just as offensive for women to find such a garment.
This is simply another example of bad, thoughtless, reckless and using behaviour by Stephanie. In a communal living space such a person who had repeatedly and continuous shown such thoughtless exploitation of her fellow residents thoroughly deserves being taken to task. Not to punish them but to show them that their behaviour has implications for others and they need a wake up call. And they need to keep getting them until they change.
