Placing any kind of dirty clothing on a dinner table is a particularly odd thing to do, knickers, underpants or other clothing!

Were are you getting the idea the pants were in a washing basket because it really sounded like they weren't. Danni said they've been lying in there a week and even Jeremy said they were in there for ages.

It looked like Chris and/or Darren had gone around picking things up to tidy.

John said to name and shame because it had to stop - so it seems to be a common occurrence.

I really doubt there is a washing basket. It wouldn't make sense for there to be one unless either communal washing in a machine was the norm or the HMs get an outside laundry service provided. I don't believe either is true.

So on the assumption they have to wash their things by hand why would there be a basket. Unless some kind soul was prepared to do everybodie's washing why would you put all your stuff in to a communal basket. That would mean that when you decided YOU were going to do YOUR washing you would have to fish through everyone else's stuff to find your own to wash them.

If that were the case why would you choose to mix them up with everyone elses in the first place only to have to sort through other people's dirties later. Its not logical or efficient.

Tiiffany , regardless of her motive at very least knew how humiliating it was and I will give Jeremy his due he dealt well with it and was able to handle the issue and remove the knickers from further display .
The three men were only short of putting them on a broom handle and carrying them around chanting a song .”

Well said.

I don't like Steph, but there was no need for what they did.

Distressing? You seem to be over dramatic. First your OP now saying that finding dirty underwear is distressing!

Me too. I would have to be seriously incapacitated to allow even those close to me to wash my smalls. When I am in a communal living situation ( like a family holiday or when I used to go hiking) I take a carrier bag and my undies go straight into the bag when they come off and stay there until i wash them.

I don't think there is a washing basket either and Steph herself said her red knickers were in her case before backtracking and saying they were in a pile in the bathroom for washing. She is just a dirty trollop that expects everyone to do things for her. Her parents should be ashamed at how they have raised her.

It seemed to me that was the whole point of laying all the clothes (which. seemingly were all Stephanie's) on the table.
Most of them were packing their cases for the eviction, so gathering up clothes that were lying around makes sense.
I don't think they were 'sorting out the washing' as the narrative said

We have these great bags from Poundland, cloth laundry bags that you can fold into a suitcase - Jr uses one of those when she goes to respite, comes home and empties it into the laundry basket.

I imagine, as others have said, Steph's items were in a pile on the floor. Either way, rather than somebody picking them up, perhaps somebody should have had the balls to actually go and tell her to pick her stuff up. People seem to have been saying it a lot, but I don't see them saying it TO her directly, just to others about her.

What this house needs is house meetings, sit down and tell her, all of them, that they want her to pick up her dirty clothing (whatever the item). Isn't that what started Megan's mega-rant off, that people were telling her or each other about Stephanie's untidiness, rather than telling Stephanie herself? Seems they still aren't.

I felt really sorry for her last night but after reading this, you're right! She's just a lazy girl who can't accept responsibility.

You're making an assumption. Maybe a correct one, but still an assumption.

It doesn't make it right.

It wouldn't have been right coming from Steph and it wasn't right that it came from anyone - bear in mind that the three children who started it weren't aware it was Steph, so her untidiness in the house isn't to blame for their ridiculous behaviour. What kind of person would look at someone's underwear and comment, on national television, about the stains??

The fact that that her housemates discus it wasn't what exposed her. It was her behaviour.”

John, Darren and Chris didn't know who the underwear belonged to, so they weren't outing Steph for her behaviour. They were being patheticly childish.

I think they probably have been telling her to pick her things up Muggins, it just wouldn't make the highlight show. Not much entertainment in watching them sitting around talking about cleaning.

Why can't it be both - Stephanie's behaviour = lazy, irresponsible, most other housemates' behaviour = nasty, vindictive. It's really not an either/or, it's something kids do (heard Danniella doing it particularly on last night's show), well she did this so my behaviour's not so bad, if she/he did this then why can't I do that. That's kids stuff, not the kind of things grown adults should be saying.

me too, both my husband and I would always have a plastic or net bag and washing goes in straight away .BUT I also would never humiliate another woman like they did .Regardless of Stephs dirty habits , regardless of her filthy selfish ways , I just wouldnt be able to humiliate another woman about her knickers like that .Sometimes we have to see past what another has done and not stoop that low .Just my opinion .

I think they knew rightly who the clothes belonged to. They wanted to humiliate her which was obvious to see.

But Stephanie has the mentality of a 10 year old. No personal responsibility.

Spot on.

And do the people who are implying it's Stephanie's own fault, feel the same about Gemma's behaviour? I happen to think that leaving your clothes all over the place and being untidy is not as disruptive to the house as Gemma constantly refusing to take part in the tasks - as though she's been asked to do something she wasn't expecting when she signed up (for a large fee).

But Steph's untidiness seems to be more of an issue to some.

YOu're probably right - they would have shown it if they'd known it'd lead up to this kind of event, but they wouldn't know in advance.

Perhaps now is the time for them all to sit down and be honest with each other - which is what a group of mature adults would do, they could all air their dirty laundry (if you pardon the pun ) and clear some air! Of course, they probably won't do that.

She's a dirty little mink for leaving her dirty drawers for all to see, but the displaying of them on the table and the dramatics that followed was ridiculous and uncalled for. I'm guessing had it been the girls sorting the washing and came across some skiddy boxers, they would've said something about it and had a giggle. There wouldn't have been any shaming and embarrassing anyone. It would've been all jokey. Only my opinion.

I agree. The tasks are mostly for food and treats. Her not taking part puts them all at risk ( of not getting anything ) I would have a bigger problem about that than I would a pair of dirty knickers.
