It's perfectly understandable that they wish to move on to something a little more highbrow... ... or not.

They should go as they are now well past their sell by date and take their awful Jungle program with them the biggest load of cr*p on the box

The show could only get better without them.

As bad as Mulhern is, I can think of worse replacements though. They definitely need to go in the direction of a comedian, but one who's not going to rely on stupid banter. Someone young. And NO MORE DOUBLE ACTS. The worst are the attempts to build a double act as hosts. It always comes off as an attempt to clone Ant & Dec... or if it's a man and a woman to create some fake chemistry. So a single presenter.

That said, this probably won't come to pass. If they're talking to the press about it, this is just them priming the pump for more money.

As I said, I think it's b****cks. They're just dropping hints in hopes that there will be some outcry in support of them to help in their negotiations for more money.

There's also some delusion too, perhaps, in that they can point to the example of Jeremy Clarkson and his two hanger-oners going to Amazon and think that this would make their employers nervous. I have news for them: I doubt Amazon or Netflix WANTS them. Jeremy Clarkson, as much as a bastard as he is, had an existing International audience. Ant & Dec don't really--BGT itself is widely watched worldwide, but outside of Britain nobody is watching it specifically because of them.
