She led Steph to believe that John did the pants thing.

He did do it through. John was the one being disingenuous.

John was the one who came into the bedroom saying name and shame the person who they belong to.

I know it's in the dictionary, but so are lots of things that are contested.
Believe it or not

It's a double negative really,

A more correct word would be insincere or lying. That's my view on the word anyway.
And still, John did it.

She jumped to a conclusion which fitted with her prejudice. I am not sure that she was disengenous. But she gave me the only belly laugh of tonights HL's show, with her reaction to Megan's eviction. Does she think they are taken out and shot?

Anyway they all jump to wrong conclusions based on their preconceptions of each other so she is still on my Christmas card list.

I loved her reaction to Megan's eviction, saying she had gone too soon, it was just how she reacted to David's death.
John didn't make that much fuss at his dad's funeral.

If it were true you knew, perhaps you would have said "is disingenuous being used in the proper way here" rather than asking if it was a word.

Exactly and he was the one calling it pigeon shit.

I don't ask if it was a word.
Bloody hell, there are no end of people on here who can't read.

If that's not saying you don't think it's a word, I don't know what is.

And I read just fine. But you're right about there being people here who can't.

LOL, some people have difficulty saying they are sorry or that they were wrong....lol. They come across as disingenuous which is definitely a word even if people don't like it.

Turns out she was right though.

Technically John was right. He didn't lay the knickers out on the table, but he was extremely disingenuous there. Being 'technically' right that he didn't put the pants on the table was evading responsibility for what he actually did do.

She rightly took issue with John over what happened and brought him to task over it.

Daniella and Gemma exacerbated the situation yet Tiffany had no issue with them, she even comforted them when they were upset at being labelled bullies. Double standards?

Well not really. There were three of them involved in bringing the knickers to everyone's attention. Tiffiany erroneously excluded the other two from having been jointly responsible and placed the blame only on John. Then having eliminated two of the culprits from her enquiries and drawn her conclusions, she then declares she is going to carry out an enquiry.

He didn't Chris did then called Darren over first and then John to look at them. Watch it again.

Oh and BTW, Disingenuous is very much a word, it means not being candid or sincere.

So why did she not confront the other 2 then. Bit of game playing going on I think.

I don't think she's being disingenuous

loved it when she said to Stephanie "let the big bad wolf handle it"

she was wrong about who put the underwear on the table, there were all 3 there

but John just got silly & dramatic by saying that the owner of knickers should be named and shamed, that was where he let himself down.

John showed Stephanie up , for a laugh, yet he'd already said he was worried about her when she gets out the house and is quick to give her advice - You wouldn't want an enemy in John !

Didn't you post something patronising before as well.

To insinuate that that there is no end of people on here who cannot read is both rude and patronising.

John didn't know who they belonged to.
He went in to the bedroom to tell the women that one of them needed to claim the underwear.
