She is deeply unhappy with herself. All the bravado and faux beauty is to compensate for the fact that she knows she is a train wreck of a person.
When someone does something that could remotely, even slightly expose her imperfections she goes on the offensive, Offence isn't just her best form of defence, its her ONLY form of defence, because despite her bigging herself up as this wonderful person who virtually sees herself as flawless royalty, the truth is she actually sees herself as indefensible.
I think this is true for a lot of bullies.

Delusions of grandeur, she thinks she is someone special, her money, her clothes, her shoes, she thinks she is better than everyone else.

Spot on - all these are perceived as bully tactics together with taking them off for a talking too when she is the first one to "say it as it is" so why the need to take them off privately.
Saying "were a team" to all the other HM's apart from Steph and Jeremy. Taking Chris into the toilet for a talking down. Blocking Steph out of the way. Showing off about her clothes. The sound of her voice when talking to those she bullies. The way she gets the person who would stand up against her (Tiff) onside. Shall I go on?

I agree. She's an absolute trainwreck of a human who uses intimidation towards anyone who sees through the bravado. She's turned on John and Steph because they've seen through her and she's now realised Chris is on to her and is trying to isolate him from Dani as some sort of punishment for not worshipping at her alter

Usually it's not an actual point but just the last sentence she said, that she repeats, being too thick to think of an actual response to whoever she is arguing with.

I always think she's about to burst into tears. Although I don't get a sense of remorse or sadness.
I'm not a fan. It's the manipulation and pot stirring. Dropping little seeds here and there and seeking back up before she does anything. She'll say she says it how it is, and she does, but only after she's weighed up how other people will react and got them on side. She's self centred and rude.
She's also Passive/aggressive. It's not a description I like since it's branded about often when it's not correct but in this case, she is a prime example.

Largely because vote to save doesn't necessarily get rid of people who are disliked or liked less if there are others with little or no following.

Spot on . Bullies are very often insecure and use bullying to big themselves up .
I think she truly believes she is popular and well liked outside of the house. I don't like Stephanie, but then I dislike bullies even more.

I had wondered why she hadn't done a weight loss and exercise video like Josie Gibson, Charlotte Crosby etc but then I realised she's too just bloody lazy.

She did lose 3 stone once and went down to a size 14 (more like 18) but said she didn't feel right being 'thin'
The thing is, her career is based on her size to a certain extent so if she loses weight, she loses part of her fanbase who love her as big Gemma

But being that big isn't at all healthy. Shes a poor role model and she's promoting a really unhealthy body image.

I'm curious as to why the house (collectively) and GC in particular, are so offended by the term 'bully' considering all the other hateful things they call each other.
Could she have been bullied herself when younger?
If so, it could have been a traumatic time in her life which she refuses, naively, to believe she's inflicting on others now?

Yes. I think her range is from size 16 upwards and so does depend to a certain extent to her staying big. I also think her whole GC persona is based on being 'big and fabulous' (in her own head)
