Last night the conversation seemed to waver from being serious to tongue in cheek and back again. At one point I did wonder if it was a task and they were acting because Tiffany seemed to be fighting the temptation to corpse. At other times it seemed almost flirty. It was odd and fascinating.
I don't see any deal. I still can't make sense of most of it. at the point we left it last night they seemed more friends than not.
John sounded like he was delivering his lines in a scene on Eastenders "I hate to tell you this, Tiff but I didn't do it. So if you want to get something on me, you're gonna have to find something better than that"

It was very bizarre, but I loved the part when John said he was willing to make a deal and Tiffany immediately sat down and perched up

John's life is spent in the actual theatres so it's logical that he would be 'theatrical'. He was probably born with theatrical tendencies, hence he followed his vocation.
I wish people would remember this is his career and therefore a part of him, and not criticise him for his natural way of communicating.

I loved the conversation as well. It was so intense but lighthearted even at times quite flirty. It was so weird but revealing about their characters. I wish we saw more of it in the HLs.
The bit that was shown was very stagey, and it was funny.
Tiff went in to 'sort it out' in some very American 'confrontation' way, her role 'Big Bad Wolf'.
John realised this and, during this clip, he seems to respond with the role 'Mafia type psycho villain' - 'Do you want a deal?' complete with faint American accent.
There's an acknowledgement there that they are both 'acting a role', although John's was in response to Tiffs.
In the long conversation, they moved in and out of this 'posturing', Tiff would 'act' the powerdiva and then John undercut the performance with doses of ordinary reality. Tiff would then come off it and talk honestly for a bit.
It was fascinating - but there was a massive effort there to actually cut the crap, acknowledge each other and try to actually communicate on a real level.
Great fun to watch, and a very sort of sophisticated piece of 'confrontational sparring' - so much better than Gemma's self promoting pronouncements and long, boring, crappy declamations about 'how she is' - Tiff and John were in a different LEAGUE.
Of course they edited it to get the 'evil mastermind' effect, but it was far more complex than that.

Yes - flirty, a recognition of 'how both of them are', laughing at each other and themselves, and then back again, spot of straight talking, rueful laughter, and a bit of sadness too, and a recognition of how essentially alone they both are in that house.
It's been many years since I've enjoyed a bit of LF like that. It was like they were weighing each other up. I think they've both 'misread' each other but aren't ready to open up and trust.
The elephant in the room//conversation was (IMO) Gemma - when she was going on about who ruled the house etc. etc.
I think they both know GC is calling all the shots - it was like t5hey wouldn't confront it.

Ive enjoyed 'most' of John + Tiff so far and as many others have said on other threads, think they'd be a force to be reckoned with if they did cut a deal and work together. Loved John saying 'they both needed friends in there' (or similar).
They certainly seem to be the smartest 2 left in there - please let it happen!!!

I wasn't criticising, I enjoyed it. I've enjoyed John's theatricality from day one.
I approve.I've always thought that he should have a set of masks (the French type that you hold to your face) but in the style of theatre masks (think V for Vendetta) and each one carries a different expression for each mood. He could hold one up to his face depending on what mood he's in.

It was like a dance, he steps forward, she steps back, as you say it was was much more complex than it was edited - shame on them. The best live feed we have had, and thank heaven we did see it, it was fascinating!

Ah that would be a great task. A box of masks and a box of cards with moods / acting styles written on them. Pull out a random card and the person has to find the mask and act like that for the next 30 mins, then pick another one.

And probably choreography - he does communicate that way sometimes. It's hard work not to see it as condescending when it's out of context ie.dance class / rehearsal room. But I try.
