Hi, I am new to the site and felt compelled to post because of so-called 'knicker-gate' I thought the behaviour of the boys was infantile, ignorant and disgusting. Women have cervical mucus and discharge - it is normal and happens throughout their cycle, for some people it is worse during and after ovulation. I was on trying to conceive forums for ages where people talk in graphic detail about cervical mucus so I am used to it, but it is scary how some people react. Personally I think that they are trying to find something to vilify Stephanie for and if it wasn't the messiness it would be something else. I hate it when people overlook character flaws in people they like but blow out of proportion the ones of the people they dislike. Every year in big brother I am put off by the way that mob mentality takes over. (But otherwise it has been a great show so far this year)

She didn't leave them laying around, they were in the wash basket and somebody got them out to put in the wash. Aarrrggghhh, I wish people would get their facts straight.

The point is, the majority will agree that 'stains' in a ladies underwear are natural. Of course it is.

The point being, is it correct to leave 'stained' for whatever reasons, underwear laying around for others to pick up and deal with. Would it not be better to deal with such things yourself? Especially when you are living in a communal house with people you don't really know that well.

In your own home it may be different. But when living with others and given the fact you are on National TV it's quite a different story. Isn't it?

That is the point of the whole matter.

Edit to add. If you had visitors to your own home and they left their dirty knickers willy nilly over the place, would you think that was acceptable? Steph has been asked a few times to clear up her drawers and not leave them laying around.

I thought this was a 'how many terms can we think of for this phenomenon?' thread to begin with.

F***y batter...

I never knew that women have discharges other than blood . To be honest it's not something I've had to research . Is it different colours then as they say pidgeon shit ? It's new to me

But they had been there for for a week - Not a day. Someone was going to take them out sooner or later. Just a pity it wasn't lazy Steph.

It sounds like the boys probably overacted based on a picture I just saw.

However just because a function is natural (like) defecating doesn't mean no one can be squeamish about it and that you shouldn't clean up your own mess.

I'm gay and I am not squeamish about women's bodies or men's. but I have my limits. I need plastic gloves on if I am going to deal with someone else's bodily fluids.

It was hard for Big Brother not to show what happened because what other footage did they have to make a coherent-ish) episode?

So did she put her washing in the communal laundry basket? Why put them there, something as personal as that, someone was bound to go in there to do some washing! Her underwear (particularly if there in that state) should be kept with her personal belongings.

They shouldn't have put her on blast like that but Steph should take some responsibility also.

What angered me more was putting them on a table... that just wasnt on.. but Steph really is beyond a joke with her dirty habits..

Thought this thread might have been a story about one of David Gests's great aunts

They were in a wash basket ?
And they took them into the kitchen diner and slung them on the dining table ?
Eeeugh.

Standard procedure in student digs - pour them all into a bin bag and put them in her wardrobe.

That annoyed me too. I hope they gave that table a good scrub before their next meal - unfortunately (after what we saw) something tells me they didn't.

How low can CBB and this forum go?

In some ways you can see why Johnny and Chris were disgusted. They are gay men and probably have never experienced a woman's knickers or virgina in this way, but Darren should have known better.

I just blew my nose into a pair of red knickers and set them for the postman to find. Tomorrow will be amazing.

Note to self............steer clear of any trying to conceive forums.

Mucusgate is bad enough on here.

This has been done to death in other threads. I hope the mods feel as I do that this adds nothing to the discussion.

Let's clear something up. Both men and women can end up with some residual staining on their underwear. It was clear from the reactions and Stephanie's own comments that this was something over and above the norm.

Whether caused by a yeast infection, loose bowels or anything else, soiled underwear should be dealt with discreetly in a shared house, out of respect for the other people using it.

The attitude of some posters on this forum beggars belief.
