I've have met Jean-Christophe Novelli

I went to his resturant for a special occasion. When we realized he was in there we asked to meet him. He was an absolute gent - he signed his book, chatted and if I recall, gave my parents free drinks as it was their anniversary. Even when my father went on a bit he listened to every word.

I DO NOT watch Hells Kitchen because any friction, or outbursts by the cooks or celebrity chefs are needed for ratings. It is not real. The money that goes into a show like this is only secure if there is actually some 'hell' for people to enjoy. It's a bit too obvious.

That was really sweet.

I wonder if Chef Rhodes would have done the same?

Doubt it .
JC seems the one who has real 'class', unlike Gary Rhodes.

Anyone thinking that the scores at the end of the day are fixed?

They seem to win on alternate days and each day the other kitchen has some sort of crisis.

Get over what? If you are going to be sarcastic - at least think it through first.

(his restuarant is fabulous)

Which one? He has about half a dozen
(although the way opens and closes them, usually because they get into financial difficulties, its hard to keep up with his current empire.)

His flagship is probably considered to be:

Maison Novelli / Novelli EC1
29/30 Clerkenwell Green
Farringdon
London
EC1R ODU

of course its all a fix - all these programmes are - they exist for two reasons and two reasons only - to sell advertising time and make the production company a fortune - dont you think its a bit of a coincidence that the final happens to be northern male v southern Female...like you say every day something happens to one or the other alternatively....
