BBC2 had a very good night.

Fantastic night for BBC2. That rating for Saved is atrocious beyond belief though. Was it really that bad? At least it's done with now I suppose.

Fantastic for BBC2. Jeez Saved....is that one of the biggest flops ever on the channel? Especially during a month which I'd arguably one of the best months in terms of rating.

#sugarfreefarm energised 3.3m/14.8% on ITV from 8pm @Jelliofficial @RealJamesArgent http://www.overnights.tv

Given ITV's usual horrific ratings on a Tuesday, that's not so bad.

Food docs usually work well on the various channels. Perhaps we are going to see more based upon that rating. ITV may have just found something that works on a Tuesday

The population is obsessed with food it seems. It;s not surprising that it's a food show would be the savior of Flop Tuesday.

That's not bad at all given how strong Winterwatch was on BBC2

BBC2 next week have 'Back in Time for the Weekend' which might be quite strong against it - given how well 'Back in Time for Dinner' did last year.

I'm going to put this out there. Saved is a good programme, reminded me a bit of 999 on BBC1 a few years ago with Michael Buerk.

You right about people liking food programmes Salv. Eat Well For Less on BBC1, the How To Lose Weight programme on Channel 4. So Sugar Free Farm had a chance to get a solid rating.

Excellent night for BBC Two. I thought the Marigold Hotel thing would rate, but wasn't expecting it to do quite as well as that. Sugar Free Farm started okay as well in fairness.

Thanks Dancc, around 2.6m i'm assuming then. I won't be surprised if the last 20 mins had people tune out though.

Really? I don't know what they hope to achieve putting McKeith in either, but I doubt it's going to have this devastating effect on the ratings.

Even if it does, this series has done well the past couple of weeks or so to get as close to last year's numbers as it has. The show is basically still in rude health, despite the fact they are churning out two series a year and running out of relevant celebrities.

I think people regard this kind of thing as daytime fare these days and BBC have a similar program on in the daytime.

Not a devastating effect, I just think that a few people would have skipped the interview (because there wasn't much to talk about) and the Gillian part. I agree that's it done very well in the last week and a bit though. It seems to be picking up a few viewers from other shows that are decreasing possibly? Or catching up on the show because of word of mouth maybe?

Andy Murray into the Australian Open semi-finals then.

Good news for Eurosport. Can he go all the way despite all the distractions off court?

That's a good programme too. Record it and watch in the evenings. 999 used to be huge. One of the few bright spots in BBC1's schedule back in the early 90s. Saved should be doing better than 1m.

BBC must be kicking themselves that they have abandoned live coverage just as the first British Grand slam semi finalist since golden girl Sue Barker is doing so well and has a good chance of reaching the final.

Normally they would be certainly be showing that semi Live
