The Attenborough doc (which was fab btw) will not do nearly as well as CF, but will still pull in 5m as very few things on BBC1 Sunday in tthe early slot do poorly.

Depending on how the above does, SOAH will follow its rating closely.

New thread on a website that doesn't do ratings themselves anymore.

Ratings are poor these days because of the acres of serious drama and factual that are broadcast. Easy peasy TV.

It's not a coincidence that creating light entertainment programming is the hardest thing to do, and also the least appreciated by TV awards shows...

Best wishes to Hassan as well. I have spent the best part of the weekend in A&E and then hospital with a relative and I can say it really makes you appreciate the NHS.

Is Sky still making programmes in 3D, or Is this on-off technology (which I gather has been around for as long as cinema has in one form or another) currently in the "off" position? What was the last big film to be made in 3D?

Just films on Sky 3D now, although the back catalogue of factual is available.

The last big film was Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Also, The final Hunger Games was the first in 3D.

ITV cut drama output by 67% that's why their ratings are down. A profit focus business not a viewer focus anymore.

Saturday night TV seems to be incredibly difficult for BBC and ITV to get right. Maybe harder than it should be? You could argue only SCD was a success between the big shows on Saturday nights over the past year. X Factor and The Voice are both way down. I feel that talent shows focusing on singing have maybe run their course, they've been running consistently for over 10 years now. X Factor/TVUK won't exactly rate badly, but they've definitely peaked. X Factor's rating for the final was half of what it's been in the past. X Factor was on for 4/5 months then as soon as it's finished TVUK starts.

Last night for example; The Jonathan Ross Show at 9.15pm on ITV? A 1.73m rating says it all about that decision. Jonathan Ross has been rating poorly for a long time now, yet gets a slot at 9.15pm on a Saturday night? If that's the best ITV can do in prime time on a Saturday night, that's a concern.

Saturday night desperately needs a fresh, new big show. Sunday night is clearly much bigger than Saturday night for TV now.

I agree Jonathan Ross should really be on at 10ish but that figure for last night didnt include HD or +1

Monday: 7.08m (31.2%)
Tuesday: 5.29m (24.2%) partially clashed with Emmerdale
Thursday: 6.63m (31.8%)
Friday: 6.43m (30.9%)

Until DS make a decision on whether or not to renew their ratings access, the best way to keep up to date with the latest ratings news is via this thread each morning after 9:45am or www.broadcastnow.co.uk. For top 10's also bookmark www.itvmedia.co.uk.

I agree it was. I too hope it went out on a high, but I suspect it'll be around 4.5m against CTM (which was also great).

I'm 100% certain it'll get another series.

This time last year CTM rose to 9.04m against ASFF which was sheduled at 8.15pm from a lead in of Get Your Act Together.

That rating (like for al ITV's) is excluding HD and +1. So in reality it'll be around 2.2-2.4m inc+1. But yes still poor, and this chat show is way past it.

I'm enjoying the irony of the ratings thread getting a new thread just as it coincides with DS themselves not actually providing anymore ratings

Again - thanks to all those who continue to find & post ratings
Although I'm guessing tape-checked soap ratings are now a thing of history.

ITV Media is your best bet but it's very slow at up-dating

Any programme with ''Attenborough'' in the title is a guaranteed banker
