Sundays after Vera finishes will likely be Churchill's Secret/Maigret Sets A Trap/Doctor Thorne followed by Home Fires or Victoria in April”

Sounds right. I did also think The Durrells would get a Sunday slot but unless they're willing to put a drama at 8pm then there won't be room.

Possibly, although I reckon Mission Survive will get a 9pm slot. Probably be Big Star's Little Star on Wednesday at 8pm with either Grantchester or Mission Survive at 9pm with the other on either Thursday or Friday.

TBH after 135 episodes, they were eventually going to retread certain things. I think they're still some life in GBJ. They're still some places that haven't been covered yet.

Great American RailRoad Journeys could easily do a few 20 episodes series, they could even do Canadian episodes just like the Irish episodes they do for two series of the British

Yes. I do hope Scott & Bailey delivers a gripping story which enables it to return in this form again. I think its a masterstroke to bring it back in this form. The 8 part series was getting a bit worn out.

Yes Sunday's is likely to be in that order.

Yes the BRITs are on the 24th Feb. I wonder how they will rate this year. Quite a good line-up of performances for once actually:

Adele
Rihanna
Justin Bieber
Coldplay
The Weeknd
Little Mix
Jess Glynne
James Bay

Of course I do. But they are in the wrong place for ITV and so they'll need to be edited to fit. In the past ITV2 have made a real hash of this.

Apart from the Weeknd, that's enough to make my ears bleed.

That's a good line up. And with Ant & Dec on board this year again, and the posotive resonce last year I think it'll be 5.5m-6m

So it could easily take away viewers from all channels between 8pm and 11pm?

I enjoyed Grease Live, as I mentioned before, I wouldn't be surprised if ITV is gaging viewers response before they commission their own version.

Would it not be better for ITV to do a British musical that would appeal more, escpecially if its closer to Christmas?

But anything more from ITV like this would be good anyway. I'm sure a British cast will be pull enough.

The only 'British' musical that they could do that is as iconic as The Sound of Music or Grease is My Fair Lady and while it's a great show, it would require a bit of trimming so it's 2 and a half hours to 3 hours long. Grease is a no brainer to do even if it does get compared to the FOX version.

Do you think that would require them to do American accents? I would suggest not. Keep it easy.

Grease worked well in the US and was very enjoyable, not sure I want to see a Carbon copy of that so soon after though so I'm with you in going for a different one- Putting it out on a limb here but what about getting somebody like Andrew Lloyd Webber to premiere a new show live, great advertisement for the show hitting the west end, and a potential big hitter- Either that or you could potentially do a jukebox one like Mamma Mia

'Oliver' might work too - or even 'Billy Elliot' (although it's not as iconic).

Billy Elliot is not family friendly at all, it has a ton of swearing in it is plus Universal has already recorded the stage version for DVD and Blu-Ray. Oliver! won't happen because there is a new film in development by Sony, Working Title and Cameron Mackintosh so the screen rights are unavailable.

EastEnders is available to every licence fee payer on BBC1 and the iPlayer. It was also available to every licence fee payer on BBC1 before BBC3 (and BBC Choice) began.

The first two episodes got 1.5 million. A little bit more than the British series got last week, actually.

I'll predict it took some viewers away from shows between 8pm and 11pm.

Last night's ratings: Much more like it for The Great Sport Relief Bake Off which rose to 6.08m (27.8%) on BBC One.
