Yes, I wouldn't be surprised, Salv.

C5's scheduling of BB has been awful this year. They should have held Wentworth back a week and put BB on at 10 on Monday. (Well it should be on at 10 everyday due to Love Island).

Is it just me, or has the forum been playing up in the last day or so? Posts don't show up for me until like 20 mins later!

Also why have 2 different LI figures been reported?”

It's so boringthis series. I didn't even bother watching the eviction yesterday and i never normally miss it.

I'm having trouble too. I had to refresh about five times to see dillan's post above, the pages are swinging from side to side, and some pages aren't loading at all.

I actually think C5 are purposely trying to get rid of the normal series to make room for just the celebrity series. It's "sort of" working, but it's still up on last year.

Either way, Monday night is going to be bloodshed, whether you are BBC1, C5, C4 or BBC2 anyway.

I personally like I said found the cast the best in years. Shame about everything else though. Last 2 evictions remind me of C4, it's been stripped back and is not as cheesy as it has been in the last 5 years.

This. I refreshed a few times too. It's a nightmare for busy threads. For example I saw comment replies going up at an alarming rate in the EU type threads on the other forums, and then other threads on the GD forum. I kept going on them and it always had the same bloody comment from half an hour before!

Not just you, definitely playing up.

See this thread in GD: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2158796

No comment at all from DS, as is standard when anything goes wrong with the forum software. It's bloody old frankly and probably needs upgrading.

Maybe they expected England to not get past the group stage?

Certainly they did push Wentworth back by one week and air BB at 10pm when the exact same scenario occurred with a Monday night England game the previous week.

I guess here they had less time to react, and trailers for Wentworth went out weeks ago so it would be annoying for its fans to delay it again.

Ratings are not always indicative of quality. The Jubilee Pageant should tell you that.”

If we are thinking about the same thing here the Pageant was destroyed as a spectacle by the weather. It became a shambles but it wasn't all the BBC's fault.

Or they were expecting them to be playing at 5pm today.

Oh I didn't realise they had already held it back a week.

I would be very disappointed in the channel if they're trying to make BB get bad ratings to get rid of it. This series has been very good IMO, despite the shaky start.

I think C5 should try and air BB at a different time, maybe in the fall before the winter series of CBB starts as more people watch TV then (the summer series of CBB rating lower than the winter one proves that).

The Switzerland v Poland game has gone into half an hour of extra time.

I think Channel 5 need to decide a slot for Big Brother and stick with it, rather than switching it from 9pm to 10pm and back again. It's got to the point where it needs regularity to help it.

If it goes to penalties, depending on how it goes on for, the Wales v NI match will surely be late.

It doesn't kick off until 5pm so no problems there. The news bulletin has been scrapped I presume?

Looks like it has. BBC receiving a bit of stick on Twitter for sticking with the Extra Time in this game instead of starting the build-up for Wales - N.Ireland. Outrageous.

Oh were talking about the build-up? Of course that's going to be delayed and shortened. I presume by "outrageous" you mean the twitter comments?

Not an ideal scenario for the Beeb with only one studio so they can't do the Wales v NI build-up on the red button or anything.

...and then there's me who thought they left Switzerland v Poland too soon. Literally no time to reflect at all.

It's a difficult situation though, I accept that. And they have to consider the massive audience tuning in expecting Wales v N Ireland buildup, so I can see why they did it.

If David Dimbleby was presenting on itv, I'm sure he would be lauded here for his authority and experience. Instead, he's seen as a crumbling old dinosaur. Emily Maitlis and Laura Kuenssberg also earned their stripes on the night. There's a reason why 25% of the population stated that they rely on BBC coverage during the referendum, according to the Electoral Commission. When I got into work at 8am yesterday, colleagues wanting to know what was going on instantly went to the BBC News website and were watching the coverage via it.

Anyway, if this isn't bemoaning an injustice on this thread, I don't know what is.”

1st of all I did not say or imply the BBC coverege was poor or shoddy, but the fact is, ITV coverege was as good if not slightly better than the BBC, but got 1/3 of the ratings.

That is not me saying David Dimbleby was an old dinosaur for pete sake, stop getting so offended by people's opinion.

If people on here critise the BBC you very easily throw your toys out the pram. When James was praising ITV the other night, he provanly was doing so because with these type of things it is usually the BBC who are superior and why ITV get lower ratings. But their coverege was as good, should in theory have got better figures.

But they didn't because viewers automatically turn to the BBC whether one channel has better coverege or not.

That is so unlikely. EastEnders will never drop to 1.8m? Not everyone likes football. EastEnders will drop no lower than 4m.

I thought it was awful too - they could have at least quickly reviewed the goals and missed penalty. It was as though Switzerland v Poland was little more than an inconvenience. Though as you say it was a difficult position to be in.

You're right. They dropped Poland vs Switzerland like a cold bag of sick to start the Wales v NIR build up. I just felt a bit sorry for them, but it was to be expected.
