Hope Emmerdale gets good ratings as this week it has been exceptional.

Thanks Dancc!

BOAF could be around 4m+ again, right? I know it may be down, but comedies are so hit and miss these days that 4m on ITV would be seen as good to be fair.

CBB's last show around 2.5m I'd predict then, and possibly around 1m for the BOTS at 8pm which is where I expected it.

Bet its a lot cheaper to make than J&H and Beowulf

Good for Location Location Location.
Does anybody know how A Place in the Sun (ideally Home or Away, but not essentially) on More 4 tends to do?

Some really silly changes there. Airing Newsnight repeat immediately after it has aired? They used to have a local type show at 7pm i recall airing reports from some regions i recall.

Surely it would cost less to have a normal BBC News from 9am to 1pm instead of producing VD which i assume has its own team and production.

What happens if there's a breaking news story during Newsnight - do the crew stay on and update it or do they show the original ?

Don't think it will. 2.7m-2.8m which would be in line with last January.

Same as any other repeat surely. Like C4/ITV News on +1. Newsnight is more analytical, so probably rarely out of date within an hour. It always airs on a 30 minute delay on BBC 2 Scotland anyway.

Channel 5 must have given up on 10,000 BC as they've dumped the final 2 episodes in a 11pm-1am slot the week after next and replaced them with repeats of The Boy With Giant Hands and Whitney & Bobby: Addicted to Love. Shame they haven't let it run its course.

Shame indeed but ratings fell below half a million. On C4 figures that low get you a recommission, but on C5 it's more than likely game over.

Must have been my endorsement that killed it off. I really must watch that before I give something else I like the kiss of death.

but last january only got that because of a major rugby match, it wouldn't have got that with no competition at all...

It would have made sense to 'continue' NewsNight over on the BBC NC, they could get in a few extra guests to talk about the days stories and replay a few reports from BBC NAT. It's probably brcause Evan Davis is on so much money, they cant afford to ask him to presenter for longer.

I can imagine NewsNight's presenters demanding a high fee.

Does the late evening Sports presenter also do the bulletins on World News?

Poor ratings again for Dickensian, Room 101 and Jericho. Feather's rating is okay, but I don't understand where nearly 2m people disappear to after the second Emmerdale.

Birds Of a Feather is just cringeworthy. Might have bee good twenty years ago, just desperatley unfunny now.

I haven't seen any of the new episodes. A couple of the episodes in the final BBC series in 1998 were very poor, and put me off it altogether.

Some people are saying the scripts for this year's series are good, after a couple of disappointing series, but I get the sense there's a shortage of stories because one episode synopsis this series had Tracey throwing Sharon and Dorien out of the house, and last night's episode had Dorien being thrown out again.
