Nothing wrong with any of the acting/scenes at all. What surprised me is that I read it was going to be something different. Someone getting stabbed is hardly that these days, sadly.

That's a big Friday figure for eastenders, I'm guessing it was boosted by extra people tuning into soaps because of kylies death in Corrie...

From what I can see ITV Media hasn't updated yet.

ITV media never updates over the weekend. It'll be from another source if we get a rating.

Sky's coverage of the first day of The Open peaked at 267,000.
Considering the amount of publicity, promotion and hype they must be a bit disappointed with that. |

Gemma coming round with Chesney filling her in on what had happened was as amateur as ever, as were the scenes with Kate and Caz. Kylie's death was alright for what it was but they shouldn't have hyped it up as a soap first. In fact they shouldn't have told us she was going to die at all. The death being a total surprise is where this storyline making its biggest impact lay. |

Interesting that they're making Tuesdays a comedy block, I don't expect either to do huge audiences. Suspects gets a good slot after The Hotel Inspector but given the appalling ratings it had last time, I'm not expecting much. I think they should axe it and use the money to fund a new drama series.

@LiamHamilton16: Classic rom-com movie #LoveActually hastily rescheduled on ITV2 & rewarded with biggest multi-channel audience of the night, 700k+ post 10pm
---- It was the last minute replacement for The Dark Knight on ITV2 last night. According to their Twitter feed they switched the movies "because of recent events". |

Ironic that the BBC2 highlights get about four times the live coverage
From the Mail article:- Quote:
A Sky statement said: 'We're delighted with the reaction to our coverage of the Open, which has already seen over 5.5m viewers across our TV channels plus over 2m video views on digital outlets, bringing the youngest ever audience to the tournament.'

Poldark returns 4th September on BBC1.
Looks like the BBC is getting in their first with the news of Cold Feet possible set for Sunday's. I think ITV will launch Cold Feet on Sunday early late Aug/Sept, with Victoria following on behind. |

Shame, I like Suspects. It seems as if they've done some changes so it will be interesting. (trying to be vague if someone hasn't stumbled on the trailer)

Victoria feels a more natural fit for Sundays but up against Poldark I'd go with Cold Feet. Two expensive period dramas up against each other probably wouldn't end well for the newbie whereas Cold Feet is quite different and should already have an audience. Plus Poldark and Victoria are made by the same production company so I doubt they'd be thrilled to have them against each other. Victoria in that case would probably wind up on either Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Not the best fit for it but probably preferable to going head to head with Poldark. |

How's Red Rock been doing for it's first week? Really enjoying it so far.

There won't be room for both Cold Feet and Victoria on Sundays. I'm a Celebrity will most likely return on Sunday 13th November. Presuming X Factor returns on the same weekend as last year there will be 11 weeks of XF lead-ins before IAC returns. Last year they went on The Trials of Jimmy Rose (x3) and Downton Abbey (x8). I'd imagine this year will run on a similar basis with either Cold Feet or Victoria getting the Downton slot with short run stuff in late August/early September.
Victoria feels a more natural fit for Sundays but up against Poldark I'd go with Cold Feet. A Xmas special as well. |

That's decent for Ross Kemp's ISIS documentary. One which I will certainly give a watch. Again, such a shame about Chicago Fire, why is it always stuck at barely 100k excl +1! It's such a great show. First time BB has been above all of both BBC2 and C4 at primetime on a weekday as it is having one of it's strongest weeks in the last few years.
I myself gave up waiting and watched online. Some others (obviously not the full amount) may well have done the same. Some just got lost. |

Could ITV therefore hold it back for January 2017? I see no reason to shove it on a weekday and putting Cold Feet on the Sunday against Poldark seems to be like the best option. Otherwise ITV might find they succumb to Poldark and 9pm Sunday's, which won't help IAC or any other dramas.
Btw Great news about BOAF. A Xmas special as well. I can see ITV's Autumn slots panning out something like: Monday 9pm: HIM (x3) + Paranoid (x8) Tuesday 8pm: This Time Next Year (x6) + other factual/entertainment Tuesday 9pm: Joanna Lumley's Japan (x3) + other factual Wednesday 8pm: All Star Mr & Mrs (x8) + 500 Questions (x4) Wednesday 9pm: The Level (x6) + Tutankhamun (x4) Thursday 8.30pm: Paul O'Grady: For The Love of Dogs (x8?) Thursday 9pm: Victoria (x8) + Muncie (x3) Friday 9pm: DCI Banks (x6) Saturday 7pm: The Next Great Magician (x6) + Go For It (x8?) Saturday 8pm: The X Factor Saturday 9pm: Through The Keyhole (x7) + The Jonathan Ross Show (x10?) *more like 10pm once X Factor goes live Sunday 7pm: Celebrity Chase (x8) + Little Big Shots (x6) Sunday 8pm: The X Factor (x16) Sunday 9pm: Dark Angel (x2) + Cold Feet (x8) Sunday 10pm: Newzoids (x6?) All of those 9pm slots would then go to I'm a Celebrity come mid-November. Obviously there'll be a few other odds and sods scattered throughout as they don't all come to the same number of weeks and I'm not sure what bits they've got to fill out Tuesdays but that's roughly the sort of lineup I could see them going with. I'm not saying it's the best they could do but it seems reasonably likely. Also with I'm a Celebrity in the way I presume they won't start Lethal Weapon until January 2017. |

Wasn't the Jonathon Ross Show "rested" for a bit? Or have I misremembered?
Anyway, looks like both the BBC and ITV have some cracking programmes coming up this autumn. It's also likely Piers Morgan may film another "Killer Woman" series soon, as he will be off for 6 weeks over the summer. |
