I think that was just tabloid talk, where everything on TV is always the most dramatic, expensive, biggest, fastest etc just to whip up drama.

Gemma coming round with Chesney filling her in on what had happened was as amateur as ever, as were the scenes with Kate and Caz.

Kylie's death was alright for what it was but they shouldn't have hyped it up as a soap first. In fact they shouldn't have told us she was going to die at all. The death being a total surprise is where this storyline making its biggest impact lay.

Shame, I like Suspects. It seems as if they've done some changes so it will be interesting. (trying to be vague if someone hasn't stumbled on the trailer)

It was the last minute replacement for The Dark Knight on ITV2 last night. According to their Twitter feed they switched the movies "because of recent events".

Maybe not. Perhaps reach is a better indicator for a 13.5 hour slot, compared to a two hour peak time one?

Looks like the BBC is getting in their first with the news of Cold Feet possible set for Sunday's.

I think ITV will launch Cold Feet on Sunday early late Aug/Sept, with Victoria following on behind.

Yes, some pretty big changes to Suspects this time around. Let's hope it works.

There won't be room for both Cold Feet and Victoria on Sundays. I'm a Celebrity will most likely return on Sunday 13th November. Presuming X Factor returns on the same weekend as last year there will be 11 weeks of XF lead-ins before IAC returns. Last year they went on The Trials of Jimmy Rose (x3) and Downton Abbey (x8). I'd imagine this year will run on a similar basis with either Cold Feet or Victoria getting the Downton slot with short run stuff in late August/early September.

Victoria feels a more natural fit for Sundays but up against Poldark I'd go with Cold Feet. Two expensive period dramas up against each other probably wouldn't end well for the newbie whereas Cold Feet is quite different and should already have an audience. Plus Poldark and Victoria are made by the same production company so I doubt they'd be thrilled to have them against each other. Victoria in that case would probably wind up on either Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Not the best fit for it but probably preferable to going head to head with Poldark.

There's a scene in The Dark Knight where a van surges through a city with little care of towards anyone else as the driver (or passenger) shoots at another vehicle. I can see why it was taken off air.

How's Red Rock been doing for it's first week? Really enjoying it so far.

Could ITV therefore hold it back for January 2017? I see no reason to shove it on a weekday and putting Cold Feet on the Sunday against Poldark seems to be like the best option. Otherwise ITV might find they succumb to Poldark and 9pm Sunday's, which won't help IAC or any other dramas.

Trailing it already though

Just picking up on this from yesterday as I'm a big fan of the show myself. It seems to have lost around 300k+ viewers in the 12 month gap between Sky showing the end of Series 2 and premiering series 3. The 12 month gap was unusually high by Sky's standard as the switched from showing it almost in line with NBC, to a single summer run.

I myself gave up waiting and watched online. Some others (obviously not the full amount) may well have done the same. Some just got lost.

They could, but I doubt it. They started filming it last October/November so will presumably want to get cracking on a second series around then, so will be wanting to see those September numbers before deciding whether to go ahead with it or not.

I can see ITV's Autumn slots panning out something like:

I'm not saying it's the best they could do but it seems reasonably likely.

Also with I'm a Celebrity in the way I presume they won't start Lethal Weapon until January 2017.

Wasn't the Jonathon Ross Show "rested" for a bit? Or have I misremembered?

Anyway, looks like both the BBC and ITV have some cracking programmes coming up this autumn.

It's also likely Piers Morgan may film another "Killer Woman" series soon, as he will be off for 6 weeks over the summer.
