I suspect this might go on Saturdays at 7pm in the Spring leading into BGT...

Quote:
“Kiss FM’s Rickie and Melvin are to front a Thames-produced gameshow for ITV.

The Fremantle Media-owned indie is to produce Bang on the Money, an 8 x 60-minute weekend entertainment format which will air this spring.

Rickie Haywood Williams and Melvin Odoom will oversee two teams as they compete head-to-head in a series of challenges to hit a specific score “bang on” and walk away with a cash prize.

The series will be executive produced by Thames head of entertainment Suzy Lamb and Mel Balac. It was commissioned by ITV commissioning editor Peter Davey and was created and formatted by the Thames development team.

Davey said he was looking forward to introducing the presenting duo to an ITV primetime audience.

“It was one of those rare run-throughs where we had so much fun with the boys we commissioned more immediately,” he added.

Lamb said: “Rickie and Melvin’s distinctive banter and energy married with challenging games, delivers a show with laughs and guaranteed sweaty palms as the stakes get higher and higher.””

Doesn't give much away so difficult to form an opinion. Bothers Bar seems to know a bit more:

“£40k top prize, mental and physical tests of teamwork promised. Sounds good, although broad from that description.”

Definitely sounds like a Saturday show, so Palladium should stay on Sundays.

It is lightweight - but it was never that good in the first place. It was always a subtle, feelgood but not laugh out loud comedy. I think this current series is an improvement on the last as well. It's just a nice way of spending half an hour.

Thank you! Can't access this week's edition for some reason

I'm very interested to see how the final episode rates on the Sunday. See if it gets any increase.

ITV2 has handed Safeword a 2nd series despite ratings dropping below 200k at 10pm.

Meanwhile The Keith Lemon Sketch Show dropped below 450k at 10pm.

ITV2 seriously needs an overhaul. Time for Angela Jain to be next out the door I think.

Birds of a Feather doing well, and continues to be really strong.

Last series had quite a few EastEnders episodes against the,m.

No Chicago PD? I wonder if that'll go to Mondays after X-Files is done or perhaps air at 10pm after Chicago Fire.

Thanks Ray.

I said First Dates usually does well when it goes out at 9pm. Wouldn't be surprised if Channel 4 moved it to 9pm regularly. They did the same with Gogglebox.

EastEnders back to lowish Friday numbers. They need to blow something up!

Good night for C4. The Last Leg has built really nicely over the years, whilst First Dates did really well. They should keep it as a 9pm show, it does much better there. It only seems to do around 1.2m at 10pm. Although 10pm seems to be really difficult to full these days.

Solid for Shetland but absolutely dire for Lip Sync Battle. I know CBB wasn't on but that rating is atrocious.

Ah, but none of the new ones are memorable, you have to take into account that sitcoms like Suburban Shootout and Swinging are actually fondly remembered by people who've seen them.....

BIB - I'm not sold on that figure. That's a hell of a drop for a show that did almost double than that last week in an out-of-slot broadcast.....

Dire Friday figure for EE. Those YOY drops next week are going to look nasty.

First Dates did well, as did The Last Leg.

Lip Syc Battle collapsed with no CBB lead in. Pretty poor figure.

I think 5's decision to hold back the last two episodes was a wise one. I imagine LSB will be back in the summer after BB and CBB but they'll need bigger names
