Yes, the episodes are being made available once a week. I think the idea is that when it's repeated on BBC1 - as Cuckoo is on Monday - they can say that the next episode is on BBC3 now. Amazon do the same with Ripper Street, of course.

Everyone forgets that The X Files had a really brief flowering, it moved to BBC1 in 1996 but was only in primetime for about three years - by 2000 it was being broadcast after 10pm, and then it was moved back to BBC2 later that year, initially at 9pm and then in a late night slot. The final series was shown at around 11pm.

Always interesting seeing the daytime numbers so thanks to Hassaan.

Admittedly half term probably threw things off slightly but you get an idea of the picture. The new Titchmarsh format isn't doing brilliantly but the number is okay. If it can keep around 850-900k it'll probably get a renewal although it'd help them to be closer to a million.

Amazing ratings for Tipping Point and The Chase. That is the highest I've seen for Tipping Point. Strong for BBC1 against them too though with Pointless and Flog It.

BBC Worldwide have named the most successful show in BBC history in terms of international sales as... (drum roll please)...

Keeping Up Appearances.

The Christopher Eccleston run of Doctor Who is the most successful single season.

Episode three is also unspeakably awful.

I think it's a bit of a shame now the new run of Twin Peaks is going to Sky Atlantic, it also probably could have done 5 million plus under the right circumstances.

I think the only part I smiled at with the whole episode was Mulders ringtone

I didn't know about Twin Peaks going to Atlantic. The original was very unique so I would like to watch and see what they do with it, but then, should they go near it at all ?

Twin Peaks was cult/niche viewing, I think it's a perfect fit for Sky Atlantic, whereas everyone watched TXF. I can't believe they are re-making Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks pilot had 8.1 million back in the day on BBC2.

And it's not a remake, it's a continuation with largely the same cast.

Only if you include the +1 figure.

I agree, there should be a gap between the two, EE although ahead of ED last night (not including plus 1) is not really a victory. I think EE and ED will continue to fight it out for second spot in the overnights, however the officials tell a different story, which is probably as well for EE.

Only 74k for ee on "W" ouch I wasn't expecting bbc3 numbers but maybe around half of there audience so about 200k approx.

Does anybody know the slot average and also what percentage of viewers have access to W. It must be available to all sky and Virgin basic tv packages ?

Thanks ☺

Episode 3 of The X Files is meant to be one of the best. Episode 5 is really bad apparently.

It will not have helped that This Morning reported W as a new pay channel and so the repeat going behind a paywall.

They did not tell viewers - and seemed not to even realise - that W was simply the new name for Watch - a channel many already had access to viewing.

A number of people might have just assumed you now have to pay a new subscription and cannot access it. That would be true even if they had Watch (so now W) and could see it without paying any extra. As in this multichannel age many will have no clue about all the channels in their package and just watch a handful.

It really has not helped the BBC with Watch making this daft name change at such a critical moment.

Yes it is only to Virgin and Sky packages, I believe, you won't get it free on freeview!

I think, over time it will all become second nature. Yes things have not run smoothly, but give it time.

The one that Family Guy viewers dislike as they had to change what they do.

Wow! I'm genuinely shocked by that, I wonder how much the series averaged?
A continuation? Hmm could be interesting.

This sounds interesting for BBC Two Saturday nights starting on the 27th at 9pm

Stag

A group of obnoxious friends struggle to survive the Stag weekend from hell in the Scottish Highlands, in this brand new three-part dark comic thriller.

Ian Telford (Jim Howick) is a 34 year-old secondary school teacher from Eastbourne who doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke, doesn’t eat meat, disapproves of blood sports and knows very few people, if any, who went to private school.

That’s all about to change when he joins the stag weekend of his brother-in-law ‘Johnners’ (Stephen Campbell Moore) and several of his charmless friends, as they embark on a deer hunting adventure in the remote Scottish Highlands organised by best man, Ledge.

However it’s not long before the hunters become the hunted. As the group is brutally eliminated, one ill-equipped, poorly-dressed loud-mouth at a time, their true personalities begin to emerge. Reputations are ruined, friendships are tested, and sordid secrets unearthed as they struggle to survive this stag weekend from hell.

Also stars James Cosmo, JJ Feild, Reece Shearsmith, Pilou Asbaek, Rufus Jones, Amit Shah and Tim Key.

Stag is created and written by Bafta and Golden Globe nominee Jim Field Smith (The Wrong Mans, Episodes) and George Kay (The Tunnel, The Hour) and directed by Jim Field Smith. The executive producers are Myfanwy Moore, Jim Field Smith and George Kay. It is a BBC In-house Comedy production in association with Idiotlamp.

Yes this whole w and watch channel rebrand is the same apart from eastenders and a couple of new shows I can't see any difference.

UKTV would of been better off condensing the channels of watch, gold, drama and alibi etc and relaunching on Freeview. There are far too many channels chasing viewers.

Why? Emmerdale is the better soap. It's far more consistent. EE had good start to 2016 but the quality is on the decline again.

37,100 possibly.
