Please get your facts right: Sean O'Connor did not 'kill off' Family Affairs. Channel 5 killed off Family Affairs - O'Connor was brought in to build on the show finally makingsome headway (critically, at least - wth BSA trophies), but Channel 5 decided to pull the plug regardless.

And, varied as his CV may be, I hardly think someone who's clocked up stints on EE, FA, Footballers' Wives and The Archers is someone 'who doesn't like soaps' ...

Thanks for all the numbers Ray.

Solid night for BBC1. Bake Off a little down on last year but it's doing fine. DIY SOS played well with it. Looks like Midsomer did around 5m though which is solid. Finishes up with a series average nicely up on last year.

Fairly poor start for One Child although I'm not particularly surprised. 24 Hours in A&E did well but C4 was poor either side of it. Whereas C5 was solid at 8pm but fell apart afterwards.

I've got 3 stacked up to watch. One of those series that fills an evening if nothing else on!

OK thanks. Does that mean the second episode was less than 0.21m?

Very decent start for it though with that first episode rating. They should both consolidate well. Not sure why they started it with a double bill.

Surpised by this. Never thought Crawford would go for it, not aged 74! Hopefully it will be better than the mercifully brief appearance in the dying days of Noels House Party!

When, oh when will Five make "The Boy With an Arse for a Face"? Better still if it could be "The Boy with an Arse for a Face: On Benefits".

Loosing 300 thousand is not that surprising, I am sure Broadchurch last year dropped by for episode 2.

You do have to wonder just what some people are doing with their TV setup. We have no problems at all with any sound issues on Happy Valley. Even when there were all the complaints about Doctor Who, we never had any problems there either.

“Another TV presenter also weighed in on the issue with former The Krypton Factor host Gordon Burns stating that the poor sound was ruining the show for him.”

It's like the people who used to write Viz Comic have got jobs on TDM.

Anyone have the consolidated ratings for Dickensian from the 4th and 5th of February? I think they'll be in the latest edition of Broadcast magazine (unable to get access).
