Thanks rzt. Thats a shame it did well, I was looking forward to hearing how much Bradbry's career has gone down the swanney now she done 2 factual series for ITV.

Fantastic rating for Gogglebox. Despite many suggesting its running out of steam, its so addictive.

Good figure for Shetland, it has done well on Friday's while Mr Seldridge just hasn't.

I notice ITV haven't promoted Despicable Me 2 at all this week. Why I have no idea. A couple of traiers here and there would have surely only helped give viewers notice its on.

Ch4 manage this, why can't ITV.

It's a wonderful joy to see the air deflate from ftv's desire to see anyone who leaves the BBC punished. Has really made my day.
"made your day". Blimey,

Is that because they are Northern or because they are ITV's?

@C4Press: The return of #Gogglebox attracted its biggest audience ever on Friday, 4.2m/19.5%, and made C4 the most watched commercial channel @ 9pm
You got to love +1 channels.

Shetland has done great business on Fridays, it's a shame that the final episode isn't on for two weeks due to the Six Nations. If BBC One don't renew it, I'm sure ITV would pick it up.

If there is any truth in the Gary Barlow story in the Sun (I know!) the part that might tempt the BBC is the part said to be a quote from a 'TV source' ()

'He's (Simon Cowel) always been paranoid about Gary trying to set up a huge entertainment company incorporating music and TV, which seems to be happening' and how as it an original (sic!) format that GB could make 'hundreds of millions of pounds around the world.' With Cowell reputedly 'furious' because he gave GB his chance.

Gary has recently branched out into writing a stage musical based on Calendar Girls so perhaps has a broader entertainment than just X Factor/Voice singing contest in mind.

But if there really is a source and the stuff the Sun says has any substance then an ego TV war between BBC and ITV would be fun to observe.

Love the way Cowell blames everyone but himself for the decline of TXF,typical management, ITV should insist he leaves then see what happens.

This series of Shetland has hooked me in. Wasn't hugely taken with it before but this series has been great.

The switch to one story over six episodes has paid off. I think even though they are now two more books they can adapt, it's best if they stick to the new format from now on

According to the Mail by the way Sherrie Hewson has been cast as Mrs Slocombe in the remake of Are you being served? A one off by Benidorm's creator/writer. But being planned for a full series if it works.

I'm pleasantly surprised. I actually think she'd be very good in that role. She's brilliant as Joyce Temple-Savage in Benidorm so playing an uptight older woman in a sitcom clearly plays to her strengths.

I agree. It is hard to see anyone else in these iconic roles but she does seem a good choice for me.

They also said John Challis will be Captain Peacock and Jason Watkins (not familiar with him) as Mr Humphries. I thought Graham Norton might get that part.

Apparently the Miss Brahms part is not yet cast but filming is at Media City in early March.

Good fun with Ant & Dec tonight, hope it does well. I imagine The Voice was as dull as ever.

Didn't watch either, a bit of BBC2 and C5 for me. ITV and BBC 1 are a no go area for me on a Saturday. Hate the LE offerings at present with a passion.

For the last "blind auditions" it really was

Nope. Digital Spy have also stopped doing them.

Such a shame. The main site is so unnavigable anyway. Let's cut out the comments, let's make articles about things that are so unlikely to be popular, and most of all, let's make everything we say sound as American as possible.

Yes, I know this comment will probably end with a block, but it's so bad. At the mo we live in a country which has free speech. So much DS BS.

The Daily Mail are today talking about the new Julian Fellowes adaptation Doctor Thorne which is set to be shown next month on ITV. As they say all publicity is good publicity.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...pe-course.html

Looks like it could do good numbers if it's shown on a Sunday. Perfect for those looking for period drama, except of course if it clashes with Poldark !

That looks high compared to the last series?

Edit. 6.2m + 0.4k on +1 last year.
