Incredibly sad day in Hull today. May 3rd is traditionally known as St Rogers Day as it was on 3rd May 1980 that Rovers beat Hull at Wembley. But it was announced by the club last night that the great Roger Millward MBE has passed away aged 68.

The Robins chairman Neil Hudgell says "the entire club is in mourning over the loss of the man who will go down in history as Hull KR's greatest ever player, coach and captain".
He made 406 appearances for the club, scoring a club record 207 tries and kicking 607 goals.

RIP Dodger.

That's really sad news. One of the all time greats. Was at Wembley that day, cheering Rovers on.

1. The training ground was flooded and they have had no access to it.

2. Losing Seinfield and Peacock really had a much bigger impact than one originally thought.

International weekend coming up down under!

Friday
Australia v New Zealand

Saturday
PNG v Fiji
Tonga v Samoa

All live on Premier Sports, and in the past the Island Nations games have been on YouTube as well. They're always highly competitive, as you'd expect, and recently have been getting a lot tighter.

And so, in the first week of May, our season ends. Out of the cup at the first hurdle, bottom of the league (a league which includes a Salford team carrying a 6 point reduction).

Every bit of the Treble given up with a whimper.

Why are Leeds so bad?

Did losing 3 players affect them that much!

I know they were key but should a club the size and power of Leeds be able to replace them well in terms of recruitment?

It's becoming evident to me that either Sinfield or Peacock was more or less acting as a player coach over the last few years. The appalling lack of any kind of game plan or structure this season is ridiculous to watch.

There's always been a sneaking suspicion that we've won what we have over the last five years in spite of Brian Mac, rather than because of him. This season may be revealing the truth of that notion.

What happened to the two Internationals PNG v Fiji and Tonga v Samos that should have been on Premier Sport this morning. I had them scheduled to record and instead got the Junior Australian v New Zealand. They are not even showing up on the Premier Sport WEB site.

Looks like Premier couldn't get the rights at the last minute.

Well done Hull, but dearie me, how pathetic were Saints? First real summer rugby of the season and they were out of it knackered by the 60 minute mark. It's going to be a long summer if they don't buck up.

Jeez what's the point in video refs if they can't even spots whether a ball has been grounded. An quite ridicoulas try was awarded to castleford.

This leeds team is all over the place. Are they gonna be calling up Mr Kevin and beg for him come back till end of season.

It's no joke now. They really do look like a team who will finish bottom.

Wondering if McDermott will resign. It's gotta be hurting big time!

I can't believe what has happened at Leeds.
It's crazy and unheard of in the super league era.

Lots of good stuff at the Magic Weekend, I thought, squeezed into what was a very busy weekend for sport. We are now genuinely at the stage we set out to reach 20 years ago, when anyone can beat anyone, Well, except one...

:Peter Smith, reporter for the Leeds based Yorkshire Evening Post is normally a full on cheerleader for Leeds, even when things aren't going well.

After our latest debacle, his match report included this:

"Clearly something has to change, because carrying on regardless and simply expecting things to improve will not work. There is no indication anyone at the club knows what is going wrong or how to fix it."

We are almost certain to finish bottom.

Ah well, Warrington away on Friday night......

Only problem is the standard is dropping. There isn't one outstanding team in the comp and while we gets some really good stuff there is a lot of average on display.

The lesser teams should be dragged up to the better sides to bring the competition closer not the other way round.

Nah it's better than last year , last year I fancied our chances against a few teams this year none , the lesser teams teams are miles better than last year

I prefer it like it is this year than with one team dominating

Worried for Wigan before the game but that was a very good performance.

Why are the commentators talking about denny solomona for England? His kiwi and the form his in he should be knocking on the door for a call up for NZ.

I keep waiting for the real Leeds to turn up

Maybe this is the real Leeds. They are awful and getting thrashed again. Every chance it could be another 50 pointer

EDIT and so it is - 52 points with time for more
