Starting to look like a tricky second half for Oor Lads, am still quietly confident. Aussie teams never do well in the cold and wet.

And a beauty of a four pointer!!! The Aussies are rattled now, you can tell from their body language. They'll go into the sheds arguing amongst themselves, psychologically vital moment to score.

Looked like the roof of the mine was going to collapse a couple of times there, but at least for 20 minutes or so Oor lads managed to put on a bit of a show.

Dearie me, starting to get a bit worried about this, don't see us making the finals on this form, we are only 4-0 up against the worst team in the competition.

8-0!!!! We are not getting those conversions in, bad for our points difference.

Criticism for the new coach because he is isn't "helping promote the game"

Is that fair or would the guy just be interested in performances/results - not pleasing the media and PR people?

What would promote the game would be beating Australia twice in a week, not giving press conferences or opening supermarkets.

Agreed - even more so with the big International games in Rugby Union/Football this weekend.

Trouble is everything is about business and making money out of the fans.

Arguably the best coach in the game being criticised by a bloke who couldn't keep his coaching job at Salford.

He's there to coach England. End of.

Would you say he is doing a good job ? The performance against Scotland was not good enough. Need to move up two gears against Australia

Well, he lives on the other side of the world and he's only had three games, so some allowances must be made.

Allowances ??? What allowances ? He is coaching England against Australia and New Zealand, how can you say make allowances ? I am not saying he should be sacked, far from it, but if you think the performances against France, NZ and Scotland were acceptable you must have been watching 3 different games to me. We took time to get going against the French. NZ outclassed us and should have won by more than one point. Scotland deserved their points because England let them in too often and have too much ball. I would cut him some slack if we had gone down fighting against NZ and hammered the Scots, but we did neither.

Sorry but when you are the coach of a national side in a tournament you don't need to have allowances made for you. You do the job you are employed to do

Off we go with Scotland - New Zealand from Workington, looks like the points difference mountain is going to keep us out of the final, but I'm confident that we can get the win.

It's blowing a gale, Kiwis shivering.

Well, well, well. Scotland seem to have this strange ability to make the best in the world look a bit flakey 0-0 after 19 mins

Just about to say the same thing. Along with everything else, our video refs lag way behind the Aussie ones.

Nouvelle Zeland 6 Ecosse 4 après 30 minutes.

And we hold it out to half time!!!! Things are getting a bit interesting now.

Kiwis get one back 12-14.

Yeah, yeah, pure fluke 12-18. Only one score in it!

I cannot believe what has just happened!!!! 18-18!!!!!
