Well done to Warrington, but like Huddersfield at Wigan the other week, Salford were very naive. Their attempts at a drop goal were rushed and panicked. They needed someone with a bit of composure out there.

Some comeback from Warrington having been 16 points down at HT to win with the last kick!
Great drop goal to win it

Salford have changed massively. Tim Sheens has made sure the right culture is now at the club.

Shame it looks like they have breached the cap though.

Sounds like Salford have allegedly been hiding payments through other companies owned by the owner, which is a complete disregard for the salary cap, & if they're docked 20 points as the BBC is suggesting what could happen it'll be meaningless when they play in the middle 8s, as Salford will start on 0 points like the rest of the middle 8s, imo what should happen if Salford are found guilty of salary cap breaches they should be relegated.

Not quite meaningless though as they'll not be in the top 8 play offs. The way they are playing you'd fancy them for a top 8 spot

The funny thing is the Salary cap is really just adhered to out of good will. Under EU law a club could challenge the concept of a salary cap and win.

Another reason to vote to leave the EU??

If the RFL even think that the good Doctor will go down that avenue if they threatened Salford with such a big points deduction that they will have the bottle to do it. More likely six points and a suspended fine. If of course they have the evidence that the club are in breach.

Nothing like that would ever happen because the other clubs could refuse to play them. Salford will get punished no doubt, they'll probably appeal but if they lose they'll have to accept it. It's an agreement between all super league clubs, you break it and don't expect support from the other 11 teams

Yep, while I think the cap is too low, Salford need to be punished if they have indeed been hiding salaries and going over the cap.

The rules are clear.

Nice innovation in the NRL this weekend: the video ref now gets multiple simultaneous camera angles on his screen, which makes the whole thing a lot faster.

I'm guessing it's only 2 or 3 live and the rest as live. When do they show them ? I'm usually working when the live ones are on I think

Sorry Tony, I missed this yesterday. Webbo is a Rovers legend, without him we wouldn't have gotten into the Super League and done what we did. I think he will be ok yes. People were quoting lots of big names but the reality is its to a team who are bottom of the table and likely to finish in the 10th or worse. I was chatting to James Green yesterday and he said everyone was really happy with Websters appointment and he is so well respected.

Widnes looked impressive against Hull who seemed to give up after 25 minutes

Brown looked a class act again

Maybe now with Wayne Bennett in charge of England, Brown could get an England call up.

Hull flattering to deceive again.
