Things have settled in the house, they've had a couple of chats and are probably both more accepting of each other.

Really, I think that it's really only Darren and Daniella up her backside, John just tolerates her so that he's not arguing with her all the time! I don't think he likes her, just like Steph and Jeremy. Plus I think Scotty T also panders to Gemma too, most of them seem scared of her because they know she has BB in her pocket and cannot do no wrong in their eyes. It really is quite pathetic now!

What is this now with housemates being accused of being up other housemates' arses simply for being friendly with them?
Is just trying to get on with other housemates a bad thing now?

It's not going to serve him well to just start arguing with Gemma just to show that he's not 'up her arse'.
You have to cut the housemates some slack. Of course they're going to try to at least get on with each other as they live with each other. You have to allow them to play the game at least to some extent.

Why can people not be allowed to talk to someone else without being called an arselicker for it? I get that Daniella is, that much is obvious but I'm not seeing it with John and Tiffany (another who gets it said about them) near as much.

He's not. He's being civil with her because he can't be arsed arguing with her and she's been relatively pleasant to him recently. I think it's still obvious he doesn't particularly like her, he was NOT impressed by the whole fire escape thing.

He gave her a death stare tonight (forgot himself) and for all his massive effort to 'not bother', he was pissed off at the walking out and had to say something to Tiff.
