Did They Do A Jade With Gemma
slappers r us
25-01-2016
Remember when Jade went into the DR to see the psychologist in BB 3 she was in for ages with them and came out a changed woman

before she went in she was a bully and threatening towards Sophie, obsessed with PJ, four or five formal warnings under her belt and one of the most hated housemates ever

then after the DR talk (and on LF she did say she had talked about her behaviour and how she looked to the outside world) she came out a changed person no more pawing at PJ, being nice to Sophie, only one more warning from BB and generally just being the dumb blonde

BB changed in the way they portrayed her in BBLB segments, she got good edits and even the press changed in their attitude towards her

After Gemma and Danielles second breakout they both changed in attitude towards Stephanie
they were gone a while
I wonder what was said and who said it to make these changes
was it their agents or did BB finally put their foot down

I've said on another thread that at least Danni may have spoken to a psychiatrist. Either this or they spoke with their agents who informed them how bad they were coming across.

It certainly looks that way. Gemma's speech was a bit half hearted, wasn't it?

I think Danielle spoke to Gareth, the shrink. She was getting really distressed with the tears, missing her kids. Her apology to Stephanie looked genuine, Gemma's certainly didn't though. On Loose Women, Angie Bowie said when David's death was broke to her, her agent, a senior producer and Gareth were present.

Yes it looked that way didn't it. I'm glad she did speak to him and it was very honest of her to talk to Steph like that. Hopefully she wont feel obliged to defend poor Gemma this years shrinking violet all the time now.

That brings back memories slapper r us.
You could be right.

I think that may have been the first time the idea of housemates being 'coached' came about.
It came from that.

If they did it wasn't for the benefit of her fellow HMs, it's to keep the cash cow safe til the end.

A psychiatrist would not tell you to apologise, or indeed tell you what to do at all. And it would take several sessions to pull out if a genuine psychological place that you're in. It's more like their agents or producers told them or they were allowed to open their phones or go online and saw the public reaction to them. The agents are in 20%, it's in their interests for their clients not to become bullies and bitches.

I was a couple of nights behind when I first saw this thread. Now, I've seen them come back in and, after they came back in, Daniella said in the smoking area that she doesn't want to breathe the same air as steph and Gemma barged into her and called her a 'pr**k' in the bedroom. So, no. I don't think they were warned; unless they're even more stupid and slow on the uptake than I originally thought.

I think they came back the same. Daniella just cooled down and had that talk with John. John did it.

As for Gemma, like Tiff said, she only talked to Steph because Daniella did it. She didn't apology and if the talk had the tone of care, she was only talking about Steph issues; Gemma doesn't think she had been in the wrong.

I think they came back the same actually. Daniella probably just felt bad and Gemma only said sorry when she saw Daniella do it.

However, maybe Gareth was there (the shrink), because apparently he has gotten involved a lot recently. When Angie went on Loose Women, she mentioned his name because her agents were there to tell her the Bowie news and Gareth was present and Katie Price and Nadia knew he was and made it sound like they met him a few times before.

So I'm guessing he is the "go to guy", whenever someone has a meltdown he is probably there to calm him down... he probably spoke to Megan after her meltdown and before she went in the spare room.

I think although the situation is the same - the two 'personalities' are very different.

Whilst Jade was ignorant - Gemma is just plain arrogant. I don't think she'll take to being told what to do.

She apologised because Danielle did - she's no fool - she'd have been pretty much out there on her own if she hadn't followed suit.

I thought the first thing they did on returning was to make a point of ignoring Stephanie and it was only when Daniella realised how upset Stephanie was by this that she decided to apologise.

That's how I see it too - although I do think John's little pep talk maybe got to Danielle a bit too.

Ooops - so I've caught up now. I didn't realize they left TWICE! Yep, someone had a word. Major change of tack. Still thought the way they came back and hugged and apologized to everyone BUT Steph was classic bullying behaviour.

I was thinking that her experience is more like Jade's time in the CBB house when she destroyed her reputation, as poor as it already was.

GC will probably get a shock when she gets out.

I do wonder what happened when they walked out

What still sticks out in my mind was when they walked out the first time, one of the employees was standing by the door and helped them come out. In the past when house mates have broken out, security have gone mad and pretty much escorted them back to the house.

Yes John did, to both of them, Daniella must have thought about it and decided to sort it out between her and Steph, Gemma only did it as she was left with nowhere to go if she didn't do the same.

It did seem to be around the point where Steph said that she wanted her mum where Dannielle may have suddenly become very self-aware and lucid, and possibly started to take some responsibility.
So yes, it doesn't necessarily mean that they have been briefed, although that may have happened also. A combination of both of these thing perhaps?
At least with Dannielle it appeared to be convincng and may well have been genuinely heartfelt.

Nothing real came from Gemma.
