I don't like gemma, not one bit. In fact I loath her.

And I enjoy a lot of the hate she is getting on here.

One thing I don't like is the weight jibes she is getting.

We know we shouldn't pick on someone because of their colour or sexual orientation so why is it ok to pick on her because of her size?

You are right in what you are saying. Tiffany and Steph have both called Gemma a Fat C, Steph actually called her a 'smelly fat C' yet both were cheered on for it yet I would call that bulling, the exact thing these same FMs claim Gemma is doing to others.

She's proud of her weight, she sells clothing for bigger girls, that's her livelihood. When you act as appalling as she does, people tend to pick out your flaws, her weight has nothing to do with why most people hate her, it's her treacherous and bullying behaviour to others that's the problem.

I never strike at anybody's weight, but I do call Gemma fat. She's fat because she is lazy and a slob and doesn't lift a finger or even attempt to help, take part in tasks or exercise.

Yep I agree. She's very aware of her physical presence. She's effectively the size of two Stephs for instance and she uses that in quite an aggressive manner at times.


Nail on head. It's actually her only USP - 'fat and proud'. Fair play to her that she's comfortable in her own (ample)* skin but given that everything around her is based on that one aspect of her being it's not really surprising that it's constantly on the tips of everybody's tongues.

Yep, also agree with this. Her size is amplified by her sheer inability to get off her arse and apparent disdain at doing anything for herself - it's actually the laziness, passive-aggressiveness and entitlement that people find obnoxious. Because it (apparently) feeds into her weight, her weight becomes representative of what people dislike about her. It's cheap and slightly vindictive to take a pot(belly)**-shot at her weight, but it's easier, more pointed and effectively short-hand for all the qualities described above.
