sony xperia z5 photo transfer issues
I have recently bought a Sony xperia z5 phone and with my old iphone I used to able to transfer my photos onto my laptop with a USB but with my new phone I'm having difficultly transferring photos which to be honest I'm not too fussed on aslong as I can still see my pics and vids on my phone but I know its a few years off but now I'm not transferring pics to store safely on my laptop when I get a new phone I will loose those precious photos and videos.
Anyone got any suggestions or any recommendations ? Do you keep the old phones in storage with all the old pics on, or do you transfer too new phone? ( the only worry I have with transferring all pics onto new phones is your going to run out of room at some point I suppose, and going to have to delete photos you havent backed up) Any suggestions from anyone especially from what others do who have never backed up photos onto laptops etc would be hugely welcome thanks, as will help me in future, thanks.

I don't have a Z5, but you should be able to transfer photos via USB.
Try changing the settings for the USB cable, there are two options on my older Xperia, one makes the phone look like a memory card to the PC, but only shares the SD card. The other needs you to install Sony SW on your PC, but gives access to internal memory and memory card. |

I have a z5 and can't say I have any issues transferring files over USB. I've even copied a 1.6gb copy of a blockbuster film effortlessly! The Z5 operates llike a memory stick on my pc windows7

It seems ok with just pictures, it seems to have issues with transferring videos over. It keeps saying when you try to transfer over videos"there is insufficient disk space to complete opperation" -what?!!!!
Too be honest if theirs a simple other operation any other mobile phone user uses instead of transferring video recording and photos over all the time I'm open to suggestion. As the pictures and video recordings are ok to look at on my phone as long as I can see them their this fine. I'm just concerned about when I get a new phone what best to do transfer them over or what? The only concern I have about transferring files over what happens when you run out of room on phone as you never erase or back up photos and videos? |
