Any chance of a Gay Romance?

The whole idea of any romance has been ruined by last year, in my opinion. People have seen it, and had it rammed down their throats both on forums, and in the glossy mags. Sure, I'm happy for the likes of Stuart and Michelle, but if it means I have to read about another pair of BBers in the papers for the next 12 months, I'd rather not see it.

I'm not too sure about that. Remember it was the viewers who voted Josh into the house over other applicants.

But there was no romance there - contrived or otherwise, they were just friends, and didn't pretend to be any other.

That's true, but it was pretty obvious he would be chosen.

Well, he was the best applicant. I voted for him.

I recall it was a choice between a good-looking gay guy, a saucy middle-aged mum and someone totally forgettable. Josh had to win.

Wasn't the other some 20 something female in tight jeans who loved clubbing?

With hindsight I think the middle aged woman would have added something different.

I remember a sassy black girl who looked fun. It was between her or Josh. In the end I went for Josh. Can't remember why now.

Josh promised much in his promo vt but didnt deliver anything.

And didn't Brian admit that he DID fancy Josh but felt intimidated by him in the BB house?

I certainly remember Brian's face (& lolling tongue) when Josh walked in

I think Brian put Josh in the position whereby he was unable to deliver anything. He just seemed to hide in a book a lot of the time to stay out of the way.

I agree, Josh bottled it big time

Me too. I recall Marco's face when Dan entered the house as well. Same thing. I wonder why the younger guys then took fright.

I'm no expert, but both Brian & Marco were camp attention seekers...........perhaps they were worried that camp attention seeking only works for a straight audience, like playing the naughty gay boy.........Josh & Dan were both grown ups who might have cramped their style, like parents or something?

On the general 'romance' thing I don't think the other HMs like it and tend to nom to split them up........eg Paul up every week. I guess it would get on your nerves in an enclosed space to have two people canoodling all the time.

I so agree. All this stupid will-they-won't-they nonsense  with H and P resulted in two exceedingly annoying and boring HMs being kept in longer than either one would have been on their own merits. And that's why certain HMs now go in there determined to be the 'love interest'.

Agreed lulu. And the behaviour of magazines such as OK just serves to perpetuate it too. I fear the opening couple of days of BB6 will be a free-for-all as they jostle for coupledom. What a depressing thought.

I don't think Brian fancied Josh at all. He guessed correctly that Josh would jump on anyone with a d..k or a pulse. He was annoyed that he was not the only gay on the show Because he felt the Big Brother did set it up, in the hope that something would happen. He managed to really take the P out of Josh as well. With quotes like. " You have probably shagged half of London". Josh did not have a hope in hell and he was out the door in a few weeks. But the dinner date was a classic and Josh did get a revenge of sorts.

Brian showed himself to be a spiteful little bully. Plain and simple. Josh was never given a chance. I thought it was great when he fought back. Such a shame he got booed in Heaven for his pains.

I don't want to piss anyone off but I thought there was too many gay people in the house last year-25% or 33% if you count Jason applying as a bisexual.
I think they might move onto another stereotype this year

Gay's not a stereotype. It's a way of life.
