They have indeed been in earlier BBs, in fact there was a joke going around at the time ; how do you know you're watching too much BB? You start drinking wine out of jam jars!

Having said that, I bought one recently in a charity shop (new, not used) and I love it, but it's slightly different because it's got a lid and straw. Great for my young nephew who's clumsy to say the least.

They're mason jars and they've been around a long time. I guess, it's trendy now but it's not a new trend by any means.

Our local cafe use miniature milk bottles for the milk to put in your tea or coffee, and they serve chips in a flower pot. The world's gone mad.

The next series will have no dining table, just a trough for them all to eat from

Hark at me, a proper trend-setter

I didn't realise they had taken off here
They have been popular in the states for years and when I saw them I thought they were there to make the American housemates feel at home
What name??

They've been and gone.

You might joke but it could happen

The last 2 times I went to a resteraunt, I was served good on a huge wooden platter (this was an actual resteraunt not a pub or bar!). I'm young but I still think it's odd. Give me a plate to eat from and a proper table!

I like that in a cafe - not so sure about flower pots though
I don't like the flat slate plates they do at some of the trendy cafes, my food falls off the sides ,what a waste and they give me the shudders like nails on a chalkboard

It's only cool when you have money and it only affects others.

I have some that I used for their original purpose and now also use them for Juice or smoothies, handy as you put a lid on them and keep them in the fridge. I become unintentionally trendy maybe . Never really thought to put a glass of wine or anything in them though.

i have glasses that I 'drink'out of
not jam jars,they're for jam

The design of the BB House is so that it 'does' do the HMs head in, so I undestand why it looks like it does.
