Those other comments you mention, which she prattled on about - as you say, more presents than her siblings and never having to do anything or take responsibility for her actions - is beginning to paint a picture of a very damaged - not just young woman - but entire family network, where you 'live the high life' without a care (and you don't need to be rich or a celeb for this to happen) and everything is 'fine'...up until the cracks begin, and the cave starts to collapse.

Yes I'm using some degree of personal experience with family members here of yester-year. And that's the truth of it, an absolute attitude of "WAYYYYY" let's have fun, nothing matters, is central to how it is she is the person she is today. BUT...It won't last. In many ways I can see a correlation between her, and how Darren Day once was. You swim downstream, and eventually find yourself in a situation, where you either sink or swim back up and reclaim your life..and that's something hugely difficult to do - I mean swim against the tide of that you've become accustomed to.

It's also why I've learned from BB to have huge respect for Darren in terms of how he has pulled his life around. No he's not an entertaining HM for the most part - but in terms of deserved respect - he wins hands down in this regard.

Impossible to know if Steph will come out of this cocoon existence she lives - especially as it's seemingly one endorsed/reinforced by her family and their attitude of 'live for today, drink like there's no tomorrow.'

I hope it happens. Loving a villain for panto purposes is all well and good. Seeing someone so young on a self-destruct course because she knows no different - lacks any enjoyment knowing that the damage and eventual fallout - if not curtailed - is/will be very messy and real

Didn't watch live feed last night but hearing that about her family on Christmas Day was indeed very sad . Explains a lot why Tiff seems so unstable . To make it worse she's one of those girls that goes for the bad guys which will only further add to her woes .

She really needs help and guidance from someone qualified to put her back on the right track .

These children who are sent off to drama , dance and singing schools usually come from lower middle class or middle class homes, they have and extra bit of money to spend on that someone special .. and makes the child feel special..... Always taking the floor at parties etc gives them the platform for life that they expect anywhere they go... its part of their life to perform and hear themselves constantly... Ive seen it happen to two young girls who lived near me years ago.... this wasnt just girls being sent to majorettes, tap dance, ballet, drama.. this was children who were kept away from school friends to have their hair tinted, dresses fitted, night time dance and drama lessons..... they were Prima Donnas quite young who posed around the playground ,they knew nothing more.... both became very highly strung.. one at eleven had eating problems.. and was very thin.. when she got older she said that fat on someones body made her feel sick.. Now before someone jumps in and says their child is fine and goes to dance... Im not saying all of them.. its the pushy parents who make the rules not the child.. and make monsters...

Very eloquent posts by both Halo-Joe & Seamus Sweeney.........you're both spot on, sadly this young woman is on the road to self destruct, not helped in any way by her clearly dysfunctional family.
She is a by-product of the 'instant fame' awarded to young people with or without talent. Unfortunately I suspect we'll see many more casualties of 'fame' happening in the very near future. These people are lauded regardless of whether they actually have any real talent. They haven't realised what a tenuous grasp they have on their newly found 'fame', & appear to think they're invincible.

Being shown on the sidebar of the Daily Fail means to them, & their friends & family, they've 'made it'.

I understand the desire to understand why she is as she is, but she's 22. She's been out in the world enough to see right and wrong, good and bad. Even if she isn't able to make the changes within herself she has had the opportunity to see there are different options to living your life.

She has had the perfect opportunity in that house - she has been surrounded by Darren and Danniella who have overcome much and been vocal and appear supportive about things. She has been offered advice about her actions by so many I can't even begin to count them all. Instead of becoming introspective and actually taking some of it on board she continues with the 'they're vile' or 'leave me alone' or 'I'm a girl of 22'. Sorry...even the thickest of people would see some sort of recurring theme running. She hasn't shown a bit of understanding of herself...to me, at that age, that's something that she should be showing.

The other thing that I struggle with about her - she changes her tactics on a dime. She's clearly smart and I think she's playing a huge game, so much so that it's getting out of control. I also agree with Luisa that it all happened too quickly with Jeremy and it was something she and Sam had concocted.

Sorry...don't like her at all and have very little sympathy for her.

You will be beating your head against a brick wall here there have been quite a few threads on the subject and most people here seem to think that some remarkable change takes place in your brain the day of your 18th birthday. They think people should be judged on chronological age alone and that emotional immaturity is either irrelevant or a crime. You will be accused of being "patronising" for "making excuses for Steph" and told that you are insulting everyone under 22!

Ive a son with bipolar & Steph's chat last night reminded me of him when he's hyper, or when he's had too much sugar or caffeine.

It's not unusual to me for family members to go to the pub Christmas morning. Its quite a ritual up North. Mam does the dinner whilst the rest go to the pub (gets them out of her hair). The blokes jokingly wear their Christmas jumpers . I must admit it's never appealed to me but I don't like drinking during the day.

Back to Steph. She said her and her brothers & dad go, she didn't mention her mam, so the whole family isn't out on the razz as hinted at. As regards to her missing her Christmas dinner, she's 22, she said 'once I missed my dinner' or wtte, as it was a couple of years ago she may have been a teenager. Went to the pub with family members, bumped into the young crowd, stayed with them drinking, & missed her dinner. To a teenager in a pub with their mates a dinners a dinner, she obviously wasn't the only one who missed theirs that day

Now to the Christmas gifts........again I don't find it strange that she got a lot more 'gifts' than her brothers. She said she loves tatt & its so easy to buy & wrap up small, inexpensive gifts for girls. Blokes are much harder to buy for plus, when there's 3 other males one toy garage can be used by all 3. Just because she had more gifts on her couch doesn't mean her parents spent more money on her.

What has been missed out of previous posts is the fact her parents have a small 3 bedrooms house & one of her brothers room was a shoe box. She said she paid for them to have an extension built so her brother had a bigger room, one that she stays in when she visits.

She seemed just an excitable, because she was talking about Christmas which she loves, girl last night. There was nothing nasty or vindictive, nor was she a bragging diva. Just an ordinary young girl.

Any woman of 22 who gets sacked from her job , I wonder were there warnings ? Has serious problems with self discipline and lifestyle choices. No excuses.

I don't feel sorry for her at all. She seems very spoilt, and revelling in the fact that she was given twice as much as her brothers at Christmas tells me a lot about her parents, and why she is the way she is. When her mother said last week that she is only 22, I thought that she was used to being treated like a baby, and acts like one when it suits. My 13 year old grand-daughter is more mature than she is. At 22, she is a woman, not a child, and she should learn to act like an adult instead of expecting everyone else to pander to her all the time. In her eyes, it doesn't matter about cheating on her live-in boyfriend, but Jeremy, her new toy, kisses someone as part of a game and she goes ballistic.

When I started this thread, it was not about what she said or how she spent her childhood Christmases ...it was more about her whole demeanor, her hyperactivity, her talking ten to the dozen, her dropping things, her talking for the sake of talking, ....... behind her eyes there seems to be the lost look of panic all the time.....

To all intents and purposes it looks like Steph has had lucky breaks and great opportunities that she's wasted.

She really needs a guiding hand - she needs help - I don't think BB was a terribly good idea for her.

Unfortuneately it's about weighing up interpretation vs the manical manner in which she was talking vs personal experiences aplenty, where I know I witnessed the same thing in direct family life. Multiple times sadly.

I would wish in this instance for your interpretation of what you saw to be correct..and I so hope it is. But honestly ? I know that look, that mania in the voice, face and hyper-speed movement when talking. The inability to retain a cogent thought for more than 2 minutes. When even Jeremy looks at her - hardly a choir boy, and says with no hint of sarcasm "You really like your drink don't you"

As I say - the previous surmations to yours may seem grim - but personal experience of the nuances of a problem (should be good at reading them with my family history) are flashing neon signs of just how dysfunctional a life she has had. Added to that, a Mum excusing her behaviour to the media in every regard - like pure teflon - and now I learn was instrumental in pushing her forward, rather than supporting her ?

Let's hope I am 100% wrong, and your 'take on it' is in fact much closer to the truth.

I think these two posts sums her - and her problems up perfectly.

She isn't stupid but definitely uneducated, not just academically but in life too. From learning more about her family it is possible she became a 'golden goose' early in her life. I don't know of course but from what she herself has told us it dosnt sound a good environment to grow up in. A strangle child/woman that you don't know whether to feel desperately sorry for or pick up and shake!
John - and others - have tried to talk to her but I think she has the concentration span of a fly so probably heard very little of what was said and 'digested' even less. There is a problem there but whether it is a personality flaw or just that she is a product of her upbringing is not for me to even guess at. She needs help whichever it is. I can definitely sympathise but also very glad I am not stuck in there with her. Maybe when you're that close it is harder to see she is messed up and not only a badly behaved diva.

I do think all said and done maybe that is why she feels the need to cling on to someone who is level headed like Jeremy had a difficult life. I have just watched a clip of Stephanie telling Jez that she is not strong enough.That takes guts to admit and you can only say it to someone you trust.

It was interesting (in a way) watching that last night. We only really got to see it because (at first) most of them were in bed and Steph and Jeremy were the only two up. With regular LF we'd get to see a lot of stuff like that. TBH - I know it wasn't riveting and high entertainment but it was enlightening. Certainly made me look at Steph in a different light.

She is exactly the type of stage school spoilt brat that reality tv has created with the instant fame culture that so many aspire to today, unfortunately. Since she was a kid she has been treated like a spoilt baby by her family, with the sole aim of becoming famous, it does'nt matter what she becomes famous for. Try stage school, try theatre, try other reality shows, try x factor, try soaps, try anything at all if it means "fame". People have been telling her how brilliant she is since she was a kid and she believes it. She is stuck in a timewarp of being the cutesy 16 year old we saw on Rainbow and has'nt grown up.

Her speech about needing constant love translates to needing constant attention as she has always had it. In her head she is doing nothing wrong with Jeremy, she needs attention so she is taking it from whoever is there to give it. She is a sad, dillusional messed up ADULT who needs a reality check.

What I saw was a young girl excitedly describing her Christmas. She was cooking at the same time. Talking about family routines when you have been away and out of touch with family for a while can make people emotional, either weepy or extremely happy. She was happy and excited to be talking about dinner and presents. Talking about drinking and getting drunk, yes its boring , but she's not the only one who does that in there.

How people have seen this as her being a monster, on drugs or any of the other things she's being accused of. People must be looking for something to come down on this girl for because she didn't seem, to me, to be doing anything that was in any way wrong.

I see her as a young 22 year old who doesn't really know what she wants. I don't see her as a brat, Megan was much more bratty in the house. Nor do I see her as a diva, Gemma is a diva.

I wouldn't have a clue if she is spoilt but I haven't seen her act spoilt in the house.

She's just an attention seeking spoilt brat ..look at me ...talk about me type. Steph has been pandered to all her life and she has this sense of entitlement about her . On live feed last night telling Jez that she got so drunk one year that she missed Christmas Day...she said it in a boastful way ...like she thought that was something that impressed Jez, but he was looking at her like she had lost the plot.
A few days earlier Danni said looking at Steph she sees herself at that age....Danni was young when she found fame on EE, Steph also found fame at a young age when she appeared in Over the Rainbow then Hollyoaks...... Danni had a great career in front of her but threw it away for drink/drugs and a party life style....and she sees Steph doing the same . This CBB was Steph's opportunity to turn things around but she has only confirmed that she has issues that need to be addressed...starting with her parents who are in denial about their Princess behaviour .

Omg. + Because of this thread I'm watching it now (recorded) & she's also said that when she eats a sausage roll she throws away the sausage & just eats the pastry with ketchup because she finds it hard to eat a sausage in a sausage roll.
Jeremy looks confused & says "Why? Are you allergic to sausage?"
She replies: "Some sausages, but I like a sausage roll".
WTF????
